"I looked for an adult tap class for exercise. I found Tammy and have never had more fun tap dancing! It doesnt even seem like exercise and weve added ballet for better balance and coordination. Tammy is a wonderful teacher and explains steps well and makes sure we have the steps before moving on. I look forward to the classes every week and I plan to dance my way into my golden years with Tammy!"
"Very unprofessional. I had hoped to be holding classes for a showcase and Tammy had given me the run around about classes which were to start beginning of February. She then submits information that she $600 short on a light bill from December 2016, and she's only interested in selling the building, no longer leasing it out. Now I'm back to square 1."
"This is by far one of the worst dance "academies" I have ever seen. The instruction is HORRIBLE! I personally have never taken classes from here, but my friend's little girl used to take classes from Tammy, and I went to every recital. A recital is supposed to showcase what the dancers have learned throughout the year. I cringed at literally every performance (except the 4 year olds and under b/c they are just precious) because the dancers didn't even POINT their toes. Not once. They had multiple solos, which I am guessing are reserved for whoever wants to do a solo. A couple of the solos would have been decent had the dancers just pointed their toes. None of the choreography seemed to flow, which tells me that the dancers are taught to learn steps (e.g. "now I'm going to do an arabesque. Now I will do three pirouettes.") as opposed to letting the choreography flow through their moves. Oh, and the dancers had bent legs as well. The term "lines" must not be known to the instructors at this place. Not to mention that Tammy, herself, performed in the recital in a tap routine and she was HORRIBLE!! What is sad is that these girls aren't being taught the basics, and thus will never be able to compare to dancers who have had proper instruction. This place is a joke. I can't believe people pay money to get instruction here. You couldn't pay me to take a class from this studio. If you are looking for REAL dance instruction, go to Alabama Dance Theater. And no, I have never worked for them. I used to take ballet and jazz there."
