"Take the elevator up and you will be taken to another world. The food here was stellar and we had some of the most attentive waiters. As this is a gold coast location its very seen and not heard service (which really isn't my style as a born working class individual) but I still had some of the sweetest waiters and waitresses. Despite all that the fish was very fresh and very well done. You do pay a lot for the experience and some of the food just wasn't 10/10 more....8/10. But the presentation and space were immaculate. My heart goes out to the chef whoever you are you made me and my girlfriends late valentines day amazing!"
"Upscale Vietnamese fusion cuisine at one of the fanciest streets in Downtown Chicago. The food has a very balanced taste, just the perfect amount of "delicious". This goes for the small plates (appetizers), large plates and desserts. Food is so good in fact, that I completely forgot to take pictures for this review. Completely fabulous experience. Patricia, our waitress, made our experience even more fantastic with her welcoming attitude and deep knowledge of the recipes and pairing wines. There is a dress code displayed in writing... DRESS UP to the occasion!"
"I am a fan of French Vietnamese cuisine. I came in for lunch and loved everything about Le Colonial Chicago. From the area, the lobby entrance taking the elevator to the reception / hostess area. Great service, even better food, and a nice ambiance with an affluent clientele. Posted are the pictures of what we ordered."
"Been wanting to come here for a long time and found it pretty underwhelming. Some dishes were amazing but I found some of them not anything special for the prices you pay. We got the ribs and the crispy pork and shrimp rolls as appetisers and those were both really good. We got the shaking beef as a main along with garlic noodles and eggplants. For those, I found that I’ve had much better at other smaller owned Vietnamese restaurants. It’s definitely a nice place to have a nicer, fancier dinner, but in terms of the food itself, I feel like for the high prices I would be able to get the same quality if not better Vietnamese food at smaller owned places around the city."
"I did last minute booking at this restaurant, but had great experience. Food portion overall was on the smaller side, but it sure was tasty. I really enjoyed pho and wide noodles! Atmosphere was really pretty and nice. Servers and all workers were super friendly too. Would definitely go back sometime soon."
