"Generally speaking, Harbor Freight stores are hit or miss. And when I say hit or miss I'm talking about customer service. What comes in a box is whatever's in that box and the store employees have nothing to do with that except for the fact that you could ask a question and 50% of the time the employees don't know anything about the products they are selling. Today was no exception, I asked some questions initially and it was mostly about a coupon that I had and I got an answer. I started the store looking for the item I wanted and they didn't have it. I had to settle on the next item which I wasn't quite sure if that was going to meet my needs. It's a arc welder by the way. At checkout, the cashier who seemed completely annoyed with being there and it conveyed with the whole transaction, rung up my purchase and then I had a couple of questions about what she just said as fast as possible. She reiterated what she said but a little bit slower and I didn't still quite understand what she was talking about. An older lady with glasses chimed in and she seemed completely annoyed that I was asking a question. I still didn't really get a straight answer. I patted the box with the item in it and ask is everything I need inside this box. The older lady said yes. So basically that tells me she doesn't know anything about it because there's no gloves, eye protection or even welding sticks inside the 80 amp inverter Arc welder. Just another case of somebody who doesn't know the products on the shelf. Once again Harbor freight, you got to do a little bit better with whom you hire."

"Been getting small tools here for years. They had a sale going on and we needed a chainsaw. The Poulan Pro gas saw had great reviews on the website, so I bought one. The first time I used it, it began leaking bar and chain oil, then literally fell apart in my hands. Took it back to HF but it had been over 90 days and they said there was nothing they could do, I had to contact the mfr. We contacted Poulan and they gave me a list of service centers to take the saw back to (no refund was mentioned). All the service centers were out of business and far away from where we live anyway. Gave Poulan this information but never heard back from them. Then we contacted Husqvarna directly (because they own Poulan). Mind you this is all happening via online chat, which is most likely a call center in Czechoslovakia. They sent me a list of two different service centers, again, far away from my house. Called them and they said I have to pay a $55 fee because I didn't purchase the product from them. They then evaluate the saw, take pics, etc. to SEE if what needs to be done is covered by the warranty. I went back to the HF website to write a review on this saw, and guess what? THEY NO LONGER SELL IT!! Imagine that. It's completely wiped from the website, you can't even Google it. My wife is furious and said we're never buying anything else from HF again. I'm done with them too. The few dollars you save isn't worth the headache of what can possibly go wrong, especially if you buy anything other than wrenches. For anybody thinking about buying stuff from HF, take my advice and ALWAYS get the extended warranty."

"A store that sells good automotive tools, accessories, and equipment will always make me feel like a kid in a candy store. I purchased a Daytona 3 ton floor jack in blue this past Friday, and that thing is heavy at a hundred pounds! I can't wait to use it on my car when I change the oil in about a week. I raised and lowered it to test it out, and it's really smooth. Will definitely be back (that was my first time ever going to harbor freight) and highly recommend."

"I enjoy shopping in a clean, organized environment. I love the fact that they offer coupons for all customers. I was pleased that the cashier wasn't agitated, because I first had to go outside to retrieve my purse and then had to run to the ladies room, all while my items lingered by the register. Exceptionally pleased with my Franklin 4-IN-1 Convertible Hand Truck. It's perfect for home and industrial use, and if you have spinal or shoulder issues as I do, you will find that it's the perfect tool. I credit that to the wheels. THANKS HARBOR FREIGHT!!!"

"I like this hardware store! I've been here a few times. It's comparable to Home Depot, Menards, Lowe's, etc., but the price point is much better. Very affordable. I got my boyfriend a nice 32 screwdriver set for his new job and myself a chisel set for a house project. Each was about $8 dollars. It feels very good quality. Will continue to come. Definetly recommend!"
