"Do not buy Decora cabinets! We spent over $50,000 on what was supposed to be top quality and have had nothing but heartache with the experience. We purchased through Ace Hardware who were very attentive but the Decora cabinet quality is horrendous! All of the cabinets are badly warped and do not shut at all! They obviously use wood that is not kiln-dried. Additionally, the paint was not applied across all areas and our cabinets are dark colored so you can see areas in the cracks where they did not cover properly. It is criminal of Decora that they are marketing themselves as "premium" and then literally steal your money!! Again, DO NOT BUY DECORA!!"
"My family went with Decora. Don’t make the same mistake we did. The quality is terrible and the customer service is just as bad. Over the years the cabinets didn’t hold up well compared to other cabinets we’ve had in the past. We don’t have pets and this is the type of deterioration we’re seeing now, just from everyday use. Customer service wouldn’t offer to do anything at all. You’re better off going with cabinets from Home Depot or Lowes."
"I order a complete kitchen in July, upon arrival all but one cabinet was not evenly squared (Crooked, or sides not completely 90 degrees). Some were worse than others. I am happy to report that when we called our Rep, they instantly made new cabinets and shipped them right away. (Good part of the story) However, when the Cabinets arrived, these too were crooked. All but 6 were wrong. And one of the sixth was a wrong color. Hope is not loss, however, because the Rep did say he will expedite and ship new cabinets right away. Stay Tuned for the next episode. I will update upon receipt. I hope this time, they have someone double checking the mill work before they send it out. I am giving them three stars because they did react right away and were professional. If they comeback again wrong.... well that would be sad and I would lower their rating."
"Highly disappointing experience with Decora Cabinets. I made a rather large purchase of Decora cabinets through Home Depot. After installation, based on our design, the kitchen actually won kitchen of the month. However, very shortly afterwards, the paint began to peel on the peppercorn colored cabinets. Within 2 1/2 years, the cabinets are in terrible shape. Paint is peeling off everywhere. I contacted the company and they wouldn’t even come look at the cabinets They made me remove a drawer and cabinet door and mail it to them. Then I got a two line email that stated that the paint condition represented “wear and tear”. There is no way that paint can wear away that much in 2 1/2 years from normal “wear and tear”. To make matters worse, there is no one to whom I can appeal the case. I was simply pawned off to Thomasville which is where I started in the first place. This is a horrible company which does not stand behind its products and treats their customers disrespectfully. This is not a reliable or trustworthy brand and I would never purchase again."
"We purchased Decora Cabinets for our retirement home. So far I have had two cabinets come in upside down, and thankfully the 3rd cabinet my builder was able to fix without waiting for that replacement. The third was an island cabinet that was marked correctly - left and right - and yet both cabinets were left cabinets. We had a running joke if their 'inspection' stickers were just part of pricetag, because clearly no one inspected these cabinets. We were waiting today for the final cabinet to show up at local home depot store today, because that was the promise they gave us. Moving trucks in driveway, and we are waiting for the call that it hit the shipping dock. After many calls to their customer service departmet we were given a tracking number that was never activivated, because it never left the building. So now my family is leaving without me to our new home, because I still need to wait for our cabinet. Hopefully the replacement will fit the vehicle, because the moving truck is gone. I can't say much about the quality, because I haven't experienced it yet. I was so excited, but now I have a feeling of dread NOT knowing if their product is about as good as their inspection labels. I'm sincerely hoping others have a better experience with this line, and Home Depot needs to recognize a HUGE bottleneck with one of their vendors. The pictures are the apron sink cabinet, and the doors should be on the bottom. The window on the second cabinet was to be on top, and clearly was on bottom."
