Walmart Pharmacy

"Wetumpka Walmart has changed their menu for renewing prescriptions. It is a step backwards. There is more jibber jabber that you must listen to and respond. It asks for the date of birth for the patient. Then it repeats what you have input and asks if that is correct. Then it states the name of the drug and asks if that is correct. Whoever is responsible for changing the menu has the mind of a cretin. Also, they will refill non controlled prescriptions automatically, but you must call them on or after the renewal date and request refill for controlled substances. You can’t call even one day before to request refill for the next day. Insane!"

"Always very friendly and helpful. They helped us with our flu shots too. We are new to the area and they are much nicer and more efficient than what we’ve experienced in VA and WV. Waiting is a part of the experience anywhere. These folks have gone out of their way to help on many occasions!"

"I’ve had my prescriptions filled there for years. Today I had a RX for my dog that has heart issues and is coughing non stop. Hydrocodone syrup - I was told to wait because they were checking to see if they had medicine available all while gathered in a crowd all looking at me suspiciously. I left it alone try to ignore, then called to the counter to ask questions about my dog and myself and with wide eyes say - you’ll need your driver’s license as if to make sure it’s me. Ok then the stares continued from behind the counter, after about 20 mins the pharmacist comes out to say she can only give me a 7 day dose since it’s a narcotic. Yes narcotic for my sick dog.. I’ve never felt so humiliated in my life, being treated like a dope addict. Kept me waiting deliberately- Never again will I request medicine from them. I wonder if all folks that are on narcotics because of their illness get treated that way."

"I hate to give this pharmacy a bad review but it’s all due to Alfred, idk if he understands time management. He is really really slow, 20-30 minutes turned into nearly 2 hours. He needs to work in a hospital because retail isn’t for him or just straight up retire and let the new generation take over who can fill scripts at a reasonable rate."

"Really helpful cashiers and techs. Joni and Van were wonderful pharmacists in a very important time of need. All of the young beautiful ladies are so kind; as well as the good looking and sweet Ray."
