"I came in earlier and was completely ignored, while the Two! heavy set employees were leaning on the counter scrolling on their phones"
"We came to Lids this morning, and the lights were on, but there was no one inside at 11am. Standing here waiting a gentleman walks up, unlocks the door, and as I go to walk in behind him at 11:05, he closes the door and locks it. He did mumble something, but I am not sure exactly what he said. We stood at the door and we're finally let in at 11:12."
"Bought a hat here for my 10 year olds birthday that was on sale and they monogrammed her name in it for a very fair price. They 2 guys here were very friendly and knowledgeable. If hats didn’t give me headaches I’d buy some here for myself."
"Really not a fan of some of the employees customer service. Also how do you charge a person an extra $20 for extra embroidery that they randomly put on exclusive fashion hats with side patches already on them. I wanted to buy 2 caps but one had a random embroidery that I didn’t want and I asked if they could either remove it or not charge me the associate told me no. That’s ridiculous and I don’t appreciate it"
"I visited this store on June 19, 2021 and found a really nice fitted hat I’ve been wanting for a while but it seems any time I’ve seen it I wasn’t looking to buy a $40+ hat so I was thrilled that the stars aligned. The gentleman that sold me the hat, a heavyset individual, for a lack of any other way to describe him, was pretty friendly and talkative once I interrupted his conversation with his co worker to tell him I was ready to check out but I have one big problem with him. I found it a bit strange when he told me my total was $40 even but I wasn’t in the mood to ask any questions. I had things to do but when I got home and glanced at my receipt, I saw where it said I made one of those type of donations where they round up your total to the next dollar. Now I’m not so upset about some change. It’s the fact that no one mentioned this and the principal of the matter. Where I come from, this is called theft if it’s 1 penny or 5 dollars. Considering the fact that my entire massive hat collection has come from Lids, the majority of which I’ve purchased in the past couple years, and I’ve joined their discount club, I’m pretty offended over this. Unless someone reads this and makes some attempt to make it right, well, let’s say I’m done collecting hats. It really left a bad taste in my mouth. I don’t make a ton of money at my job. I work my butt off for what I have. I’m not happy about this conclusion as I’ve always loved going in different Lids in more states than I can count. Not to pull the race card but it was also interesting how the 2 employees who happened to be black, greeted the 8 other black people that came in but acted as though I was invisible. I notice those types of things. No worries though. Bye bye Lids. More money in my wallet."
