"My honest review of Emporia 110. The place itself is beautiful but the customer service was not great at all. From the decor I didn't want to the bartenders serving that night we didn't have a great experience!! Was not pleased with the fact that the decorations on the tables were not what I had asked for. The evening of the rehearsal I talked with the lady (Angie) that was there, about moving some things around since I was bringing my own flowers for the tables (which I had previously said in an email that I was bringing my own flowers for the guest tables and my own 3rd centerpiece). She had agreed and said she would do it then the next day it was still set up like that and my wedding planner again told her that it's not what I wanted and she lied and told her that's what I had asked for. Then she proceeded to tell my wedding planner that she thinks that the greenery on the tables (that I didn't want) needs to stay because I have all white flowers for my centerpieces and she doesn't think it goes well with the venue. It was super frustrating as a bride for someone who wasn't helping me plan my wedding and didn't know the vision I had for it, to be changing the way I wanted my centerpieces to look just because she thought it would look better than what I wanted and had asked for. The Venue was beautiful. I just wish I would've gotten better customer service with the price we paid for the transformation rental, would hate to think that any other bride could get her vision and dream taken away from her like I did. We also had multiple complaints when it came to the bartenders. The Groom had ordered a crown and sprite close to the end of the night and he said he could taste no crown. The bartenders didn't fix him another for free or even apologize so he had to pay $7 for a sprite, that's horrible customer service. I just hate to think how many of our guests paid for a drink and didn't receive the full amount they were charged for. If this is how my staff would behave I would be disgusted as an owner. Then the best man had gotten a Miller Lite in the morning and was charged $3, but then in the evening he was charged $4. I don't see any logic in why that number changed. We had another groomsman say that he was charged more than $4 for the same beer Miller Lite. It's super frustrating that the same exact drink can cost more for a different person, and frankly you're stealing that customer's money if you're charging them more and that is in no way fair. A nice place is not worth the bride not having peace of mind with bad customer service."
