Reviews of J Reynolds Counseling & Consulting
"I am so thankful I finally found someone that not only listened but help me articulate what I haven't been able to put into words. Being so overwhelmed, I needed someone to see through the mess and help me slowly unpack things one at a time and treat the root causes. I would give 10 stars if it were possible."
"If you want to be talked down to, and feel worse about yourself, she's the therapist for you! I realize that not everyone is a right fit for a therapist and typically would never publicly call someone out like this, but the entire time she talked down to me in a condescending manner, and told me that I needed coaching, not counseling. She would get frustrated at my inability to articulate an answer and become short and angry with me. I am in fact more depressed now that I was previously and when I was crying she just kept on berating me instead of stopping what she was doing. It honestly seemed like she enjoyed it, which is sickening."
"I understand why people say they feel as though their issues are dismissed. I applied to get my dog registered through certapet as an ESA and Jennifer was my assigned therapist. Jennifer denied me saying that my issues are not issues of mental illness/disorder. I’ve experienced very traumatic events in my life and I shared them with her. I just felt as though they were undervalued and overlooked. Plus, we never really set a time to talk about our appointment. She just called whenever and got frustrated with me for calling back."
"It's a challenge for me to fully remember the anxious and unsure girl I was when I first met Dr. Reynolds several years ago. I was struggling so much and came to her with an open mind and strong desire to feel better. Fast forward to the woman I am now who has grown and improved immensely since that first visit. Therapy has been the catalyst that transformed my life into one I am happy to be living and I recommend therapy to everyone now. I think a lot of people expect their therapist to magically fix them in the first few sessions, but it doesn't work that way, at least for me it didn't. It took a lot of hard work on my end actually implementing the guidance she gave me, continuing to consistently come back and work through each obstacle together in the office and out of it on my own. Dr. Reynolds offered evening and weekend appointment options (which meant I could go outside of my job hours) which was really hard to find with a local therapist. My experience with her has been amazing. If you're considering therapy right now looking through Google reviews, just take the step and reach out. It could transform your life too."
"Jennifer is hands down the most unprofessional healthcare worker I have ever seen. She has cancelled more appointments on us then she has seen us (8 out of the last 15). To make matters worse she always seems to do it at the last possible minute. How can someone who is supposed to be responsible for providing help and support to people who struggle with mental health issues, stress and anxiety be so unprofessional, uncaring, disrespectful and disconnected with her patients. She does more harm than good and she is one of the most self centered, narcissistic, uncaring and rude people I have ever known."
