"Recently purchased some equipment from them. Very pleased with everything including the professionalism and helpfulness of the owner! It’s a small town shop, but he has a great selection. He had a couple of pieces from his collection that we talked about while I shopped. I won’t hesitate to go back and strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a new gun or ammo! Side note, I saw a few negative reviews on Google before I went in there and personally didn’t think they were correct. Don’t let that deter you if you are looking for a new gun or ammo! "So I went in this place for the first time yesterday because it was veteran owned and operated and I figured let me support another veteran and maybe he would offer a discount since I was a veteran, but I definitely was wrong about that. Once I got to the counter I set my stuff down and simply asked do you offer military discount and he asked if I was active and I told him no. He then proceeds to tell me he only does this for active duty which is his choice if that’s what he wants to do, but instead of just saying he only does it for active only he then proceeds to say “would you pay me extra for a job that I don’t even do anymore?” I stated that personally I would if you’ve done your time for this country and he said “that he had 5 times” meaning went over seas. Anyway I’ve waited on posting this review because I thought heck maybe he was just having a bad day but after talking to other individuals and telling them what happened without telling them where it happened they informed me that the same thing was said to them at this gun store in Caledonia. I’ve also talked to another veteran who goes to this same store and he gives this particular veteran a military discount even though “he isn’t in the military anymore.” I say all that to say this, if you are a veteran and want a discount, please don’t go to this place and if you do, please save your oxygen and don’t ask this guy because he will give you the same BS excuse he gave me. My advice next time to you Johnny is that simply say no I don’t give a veteran discount and leave it at that. Don’t go into the whole spill of “would you pay me extra for a job that I don’t do anymore?” And don’t have a double standard where you do it for certain veterans and not others.
