"My experiences with Dr. SHort have been wonderful. I would reccomend her. She has a fantastic bedside manor and is a wonderful Doctor. My issue comes with one of the women who makes appointments. My Daughter is here visiting while her husband has been deployed to Kentucky to help with special training for our troops (he has also served a tour in Afghanistan). She is suffering from severe moring sickness, I have never seen anything like it and I have had 5 live births. She is constanly throwing up to where she is just dry heaving, dehydrated and vomitting blood. When I called they said there were no openings, I asked if that would be the case if I, a patcient there, were in need of an office visit. I was then told that another doctor could see her on such and such day. They then asked if she would be seen there through to the birth. I replied No, as she would be returning home to Texas with her husband in mid Sept. The woman on the phone briefly put me on hold then told me she was mistaken there was no opening for the before mentioned date. But they would give me the number to Cullman Primary Care and maybe one of the Doctors there could see her. I then told her that I was very disapointed with them and how they treat the families of our servicemen, and in mid sentence was cut off with a "thank you for calling have a nice Day" CLICK, as she hung up the phone. I am so angry, my daughter has been violently ill and now having terrible stomach cramps, and these woman would not schedula an appointment? I felt that when I said she would only need to be seen for two months, that there just wasn't enough money in it to make it worth their time. So very dissapointing. I bragged my Dr. up and said that it was the best place to go, and then this. Now I guess we will be going to a the Emergency room, a lot. Other than this experience, I would have rated the facility 5 stars, because I loved my experiences here and absolutley loved Dr. Short. L. Aldridge"
