"I cannot sing Dr. Kim Ray’s praises enough! The only negative reviews I’ve read tied to her name are related to the clerical/front office/reception, and that’s extremely unfortunate because that doesn’t reflect Dr. Ray as a provider. My with experience has been excellent. I lost a pregnancy and discovered it during an ultrasound in which no heartbeat was found. The kindness and compassion Dr. Ray and her staff extended to me and my husband on that crushing day we found out will never be forgotten. I went on to have another pregnancy but developed severe preeclampsia and was hospitalized on bedrest for a little over 2 months due to blue pressure, severe nausea/vomiting, and piercing headaches with blurred vision. I never complained being in the hospital because I knew I was under the best care I could possibly have. I wouldn’t have my precious, loving, beautiful, lively, spunky, wonderful 3-year-old daughter without Dr. Ray and the other providers who “adopted” me as their own during that time. Dr. Green would sit on my bed and talk to me when she rounded in the mornings to make sure I was holding up okay. Dr. Poist went to bat for me against BCBS insurance, who kept trying to discharge me to a lower level of care. This group of providers is absolutely the best there is in West Alabama, hands down. And yes, they are busy for that reason, but what I always keep in the front of my mind is that when I was pregnant with severe preeclampsia and when I lost my pregnancy, I was given more time on and attention and focus than patients in the waiting room who were there for their yearly check up. Now when I’m there for my yearly check-up, if an emergency arises and I have to wait longer, I don’t complain because I understand that’s the nature of the baby business and I know that there’s a woman needing the excellent care I was given during my times in need. If you can extend some patience in those circumstances, I assure you, you won’t find anything to complain about. Dr. Ray is as dedicated, brilliant, compassionate and kind as they come. You can count on that!"
