Neighborhood Grill and Catering - Clanton 309 7th Street North, Clanton, AL 35045

"The food took forever to arrive, the restaurant smells dirty but maybe that's just the food, and the waitress was terrible. The food was something I wouldn't give my dog. Burgers were burnt, waitress didn't ask what temp we wanted them at, and you had to pay extra to remove an item from the burger. The chicken Alfredo came with a piece of chicken that was dry, overcooked, and had to be sawed in half. The pasta were literally just noodles on the side. Just noodles. I don't think there was any sause on them. The steamed broccoli was more like an unseasoned soup, zero seasoning, served in a bowl full of juice, and frankly disgusting. The red beans and rice had what looked like Asian fried rice with eggs, mixed with beans that tasted like sugar had been added for some reason, and some sausage. The sausage was the only redeeming quality. Overall, we waited 45 mins for food that I wouldn't give to a dog, over paid, had terrible service, and waited 30 mins for the check. This place has a wall of awards from a local news paper that clearly displays a lack of options on Clanton or a friend works for the news paper. Save yourself the wait and go anywhere else. McDonald's has better service and the food is somehow better."

"My husband and I stopped in here on our way to beach, and let me just say this place is absolutely phenomenal, we've eaten at several places in different parts of the USA, different countries & this place is right up there with the best, Beth our waitress was superb, her & her husband own this place & he came over & chatted with us a bit, hope they have great success, because their hard work sure showed in the meal we experienced! The steak was cooked to my husband's high standards, crab cakes & even the sides were perfect, let's talk about the fried cheesecake wow! And the fried mushrooms, if you get a chance give them a try!"

"Our family ate at the neighborhood grill for the first time and it was wonderful. The service, the food, and the atmosphere was great. The owner and chef even stopped by and said hello, very gracious. We had 3 appetizers ( fried pickles, loaded fries, and onion petals) all 3 were fresh, hot and very tasty. We tried a variety of entrees including the shrimp basket, the club, chicken Parmesan, fried chicken sandwich, and chicken Alfredo. All six of us loved everything we ordered. Finished the meal sharing a crème brûlée and monster brownie and both were delicious. If you have a chance support this great local spot."

"Enthusiastic and prompt staff and service. We were greeted and treated like regulars. One of the best hamburgers I have had at a good price. Fried mushrooms were great. Highly recommend eating here. We were passing through Clanton on I-65 from B'ham on our way home and my wife found this restaurant on the web. Wanting something different we thought we would try here. Glad we did. We'll eat here when we are in the area again."

"Neighborhood Grill was good. I had the grilled buffalo wrap with fries and a sweet tea. The chicken was very tasty and the sweet tea was sweet!! Service was fast, polite, and knowledgeable. It had a wonderful atmosphere. Tvs galore including a giant one for game day!!"
