"NEVER AGAIN! This was my 1st and last time ordering from this place. I ordered a smothered chicken and a turkey wing dinner. It was horrible. The dressing, mac and cheese and the gravy were all watery and bland. The chicken and turkey were very dry. I even tried to doctor it up with more seasoning but to no avail. Soul food shouldn't be bland or watery. I normally don't give a review, I just never go back but this was so bad that I immediately threw it outside to the stray animals. Worst $35 ever spent. I should have cooked myself."
"Stop by here for lunch. Ordered the vegetable plate. I liked the macaroni and cheese, cabbage, red beans and rice and the greens with corn bread. I probably will try something different next time. Update 2023 stop by for some grub. Didn't have what I wanted. I ordered the turkey dinner. Mac and cheese was cold. Cabbage tasted spoiled. Disappointed."
"I know everyone has their fav soul food in Chicago but this is a decent contender. I went with the classic fried chicken, mac and cheese and corn bread and wasn't disappointed. I did take out and service was great. There was parking on the street available too. I went at an off peak time so I didn't have to wait too long."
