The Retreat at Eddins Apartment Homes 203 Eastdale Road South, Montgomery, AL 36117

"No stars at all, for this property. Honestly, the only good qualities or amenities they had was the affordable rent. However, upon further investigation, there is a serious pest infestation, meaning roaches of all types have imbedded and nested within the community itself. I have had to personally pay for extermination and bug bombs, before the apartment complex stepped in. This was still not enough to drive the pests away. I keep bleach, bug spray, and various cleaning products at my disposal; and I am in the least bit a junky, messy, individual so I know for sure I was not originator. I also, have had two other apartments before this and never had this issue with pests or the maintenance or the rental office staff; from the manager to the maintenance workers. Which brings me to my next point, the maintenance workers, I can not really pinpoint which ones, handle which apartment related situations, but needless to say, it seems as if they tend to other buildings or renters, like priority or they just do not handle it at all. My first incident, was with the air condition during the summer I have several pictures and videos. They had to replace the A/C unit, which looks like it came from the 1800's; once they replaced it the replacement sprung a leak and flooded my apartment. I paid for some supplies to clean up the water and the complex did not reimburse me or even handle the post-clean up. Personal property was damaged and not replaced. Both bathrooms have serious plumbing issues, the toilets, the shower, and the sink. The walls are super thin so you can hear everything your neighbors are doing. There are several amendments and updates these buildings need and they are not up to code, in regards to the real-estate commission requirements. Overall, dissatisfied, treated poorly, not willing to work with renters, and seems like a waste of $905/monthly. I will be uploading the aforementioned media, to accompany this review; Kitchen, living room, bedrooms, laundry room, bathrooms, and overall living space not safe, not livable total disappointment! 10/10 would not recommend."

"Great things in my experience at the Retreat at Eddins. The staff was very professional and friendly; they also made the application process hassle free and I moved in within a week. The property is clean and well kept. Neighbors are quiet and friendly."
