Reviews
"The Jefferson Davis Presidential Library and Museum contains a vast amount of information on a topic few really know much about. There is a nice film on the Confederate President, a great deal of Confederate memorabilia and a huge number of books. Truly a fascinating place for those interested in the topic."
"We were limited on time and there was a large school group that had just arrived. We just walked the grounds, read the markers, and took some photos. It's beautiful and right on the water. Next time, we'll see the inside."
"I really liked the people that worked there they had a lot of knowledge of the history at the place. The people that lived and stayed in the house. If you love old houses like me. I recommend taking the time to visit this place. They are doing upgrades on some areas but it's still easy to get around. They have guided tours and nice library, museum and gift shop as well. The cemetery is really informative as well. Signs are posted in details of the cemetery."
"Everyone here was very nice and we were very happy we stopped. They had umbrellas for us to use because it was raining and they were very helpful with where we could go and what we could see. The best part was the tour. The nice man who gave us a tour was very entertaining and really kept my kids interested. It did take about an hour, but they learned a lot of great history in a very fun way and it was absolutely worth it."
"We went on a Sunday and the tour guide was fantastic! She was very informative and answered all questions. She gave us plenty of time to look at the home both before and after her informative talks. The museum was an added surprise, I didn't realize it was the entire top floor. Spend 2.5 hours there and enjoyed it very much"
