Reviews
"To any readers: sorry for the long review but I feel this was all important. I dont want others going through the things I had to. I Was treated here by Dr. Niland for maybe 3-4 years. At first I really did like this office, but over time I came across more and more issues. Dr Niland did diagnose me and after a lot of trial and error we found a med that worked (for which I am grateful) but the med was extremely expensive (12k or more,Also not nilands fault) so every time I needed it I would need a new Prior authorization. Almost every single time I would call and let them know I needed a PA, it would be WEEKS before they would do anything, setting back the medication in my body months, and also putting me into multiple flares which permanently damage my organs each time and made me so sick I couldnt function or work. This happened just about every time I needed my meds. (Every 6 weeks) I know some of these issues were my insurances fault, but this office made dealing with that just a million times harder. While I did receive care here, it was very inconsistent and I think it made me sicker in turn. I was also told I did not have a disease I suspected I had, because it was “physically impossible for me to have both diagnoses” (There were times where my first diagnosed disease was inactive, but I was still having pain and he didn’t understand why so nothing was done) however when I went to a new gastro after moving he confirmed I did have what I had suspected 3-4 years prior. So the whole 3-4years I was in extra pain that could have been easily avoided with a med. I have also been cursed at by receptionists. In one instance of me not getting my PA taken care of, I called multiple times over the course of a few days. I guess I kept getting the same receptionist (wish I had her name) but apparently I annoyed her. She yelled at and cursed me out and told me that when they had an update they would call me back, and to not call them again. I cried after that phone call. After that I waited a week and heard nothing. (again, over that week im getting sicker and sicker) I dont remember exactly How that was resolved due to me being so sick I was bedridden, but im pretty sure my husband had to call and yell (We are not the type to treat people that way at all, even me leaving this review is super rare and not like me. This office has cause me so much stress and pain I cant take it anymore, this is the only thing I know to do) There were also several times I asked for receptionists to take a message for dr niland, only for me to call back days later looking for an update, which they never had. One time when I called for an update I ended up speaking to a nurse (who was always super nice and helpful!!) the nurse told me there wasnt single message recorded when there should have been multiple. So I had been calling for weeks for literally nothing, just getting ignored. Sorry my chronic pain and illness annoys you at your medical job, I guess. Lastly, when I Finally moved and started seeing a new gastro we contacted dr nilands office to get my medical documents, and we were told they were sent. This whole time my medicine is once again being denied and we cant figure out why. My new gastro realizes its because my insurance needs specific paperwork that they dont have, paperwork nilands office said was sent. After multiple other calls asking them to send my paper work and them telling us they did, they finally tell us their fax machine doesnt work (my records ended up being 114 pages, im wondering if they didnt feel like sending them because of the amount) I finally had to drive an hour and 20 to the hospital to pick up my documents myself, and dropped them off at the new gastro myself. Right now my meds are delayed 4 months and im getting sick again. And its still this old office causing me problems (fingers crossed it should be resolved now) I will also note I have met other patients that have my same disease, that also went to this office and they had extremely similar experiences."
"Staff is horrible, no one ever answers the phone. The doctor are great. My suggestion , get rid of front.desk personnel. They care nothing about doing their job"
"Dr.Bercier nurse barely returns calls had to remind her multiple times for my referral its been 2 weeks they don't take there patients health serious. I had to wait 3 weeks almost a month for results."
"Worst office staff I ever dealt with in my life. They dont return calls or respind to pharmacy. If I could I give them a zero. When I called to cancel pricedure they couldnt find my chart. I am going to another doctor. Shame in USA."
"I went to Dr Edwards for a second opinion. Without even having my medical records, he said the initial Dr to look was so well respected he would most likely agree with him. It was a 10 min visit and he didn’t even have my history. He is a joke of a Dr who wouldn’t give his own opinion as I’m trying so hard to figure out what was wrong with me. Probably the worst experience I’ve had with a Dr in 10 years."
