"I really enjoy living at Essex Square Apartments.Very clean the lady's in the office are so friendly and helpful and maintenance is there to help you in a matter of minutes when you put a work order in.Everyone that lives there are nice and friendly and summer time pool days which is everyday definitely is refreshing and the pool is brand new this past fall.mail and garbage is on the property also.Grocery store,stores and restaurants is in walking distance from Essex Square.great location!"

"I lived at essex square for a year. These were the first apartments i rented from. I can say i had an excellent experience here. the prices are very fair so it was affordable for me as my first rental. i was afraid with it being less expensive and older there would be issues. but Teresa keeps up with everything to a T! she does not play at all. she keeps the complex clean. but they are understanding also and they did help me out. all maintenance requests i put in were resolved the day of, even small things like a noisy ceiling fan up to the only big issue i had which was my a/c unit leaking. I wish i was able to live there again this year but opportunity took me from the area. you will find no where better to rent from in the area!"

"I lived at Essex Square for three years (2020-2023), and it was the best apartment experience I have ever had. The maintenance crew was incredible. Whenever I would submit a request, the issue was often resolved within the day (even within a few hours!). If an issue would take longer, maintenance would communicate with me and provide me with a timeline for resolving the issue. Additionally, management resolved an issue with a neighbor promptly and ensured I continued to feel safe in my apartment. Throughout my time here, whenever I had an issue, I knew they would be able to fix it. As for the apartments themselves, mine was clean when I moved in, and it was the perfect size for one person. I lived in the unrenovated style of apartment (carpet, older appliances / kitchen) and had zero issues with it. The complex itself is quiet, clean, and felt very safe! There's also a pool and various other amenities. It's in a great area of town and near several restaurants / grocery stores. It took me about 10 minutes to get to campus, but I enjoyed not being right in the thick of the college scene. The complex had a very calm, family friendly vibe which was perfect for studying. All in all, I really enjoyed my time here and highly recommend it."

"IMMEDIATE YES! Teresa and staff make it a joy. We had a renovated unit, which was beautiful. A lot of people assume the “age” of the complex lends itself to be dated inside of the units- not at all true. We had a 1 bedroom, then leased again for a 2 bedroom- BOTH units were the best! Everyone wants a safe, quiet, and respectful community and with the office and maintenance team keeping a pulse on the property, that’s exactly what you get! IT’S BEEN AROUND FOR AS LONG AS IT HAS *without changing hands* FOR A REASON! We hate we had to leave. It’s incredibly difficult to find apartments/rentals in and around Tuscaloosa because it is flooded with students who pack properties and drive up rent.This property is 10 minutes or less to Midtown and Downtown. Essex Square prioritizes people- and because of this, their warmth and affordability supports the local community. Not just students. We’ll miss Essex!"
