"Alright, so no big deal, the owner William is a great friend of mine. Also no big deal that the man working the front desk is a former coworker of mine, you gotta come here and get your haircut, man. From the time you walk in the door, you're asked out courtesy if you have an appointment, if you do, you'll get offered a classic Coca-Cola in a glass bottle or a great cup of drip brew coffee. There's a chessboard in the lobby for anybody who wants to play a game and I'll even add here as well, if you're an expert in the game like I am, it certainly touches one, when you see two novices going at it trying to figure the game out, but out of respect, you let them play! What a great place, man. The checkerboard floors are timeless, needless to say, classic architecture. So, what about the barbers? Well, if my five star rating hasn't tipped you off yet, just come in the door or call Red's and schedule an appointment! I've had my hair cut by Will and Robert and everyone here is a gentleman, a scholar, and a great friend! I've been outstandingly pleased every time I walk in the door. Robert is a true artist, he has been cutting hair forever and my experience 3 days ago, he asked me specifically how I wanted my pompadour. There are 3 different styles on the style board they've got behind the scenes, and he gave me a combination of all three like he said he would! And what a great guy! He worked on my back forever his arm I guess got a little tired, bless him, I had so much hair I looked like William Shakespeare from whenever he got his portrait! Lastly, despite the fact that Red's has been in the paper, hosted a plethora of important and quite famous people, including former Vice President Mike Pence to me, that's great for them, but no big deal in regards to why I came, alright? And I venture to say that's not the reason you should come, either. It certainly could be one of them, but the absolute reason you should go is because you're going to one of the best places in Indy, with not "top notch" service, but the best service, and you'll meet some of the best people. What a great place, man. I'm dying to go back."

"Update: Although I love the place the last two cuts have been mediocre. The barber always smells like cigarette and he does a terrible job. I try again to see if it was a one time but not he is not good at all. Great atmosphere and service. It is easy to schedule an appointment and the service is fast."

"Very cool place! We live close to downtown and I have always wanted to go inside just to take a look. Well, fortunately my boyfriend needed a haircut and beard trim so that's where we went. Very friendly employees and the atmosphere was nice. I love old architecture and businesses staying with original pieces. We'll definitely be back."
