"This was my first time seeing Dr. Joiner and it was a pleasure. Entire staff was excellent from the time I checked in until the time I checked out."
"Crystal, the manager, is deleting reviews about patient treatment. However, I'll keep reposting as it's vital for patient care. Conversation from today 02/23: Update on today’s call: I regret to inform that my recent engagement with Dr. Howell’s office, particularly with the clinic manager Crystal, was not just unsatisfactory but troubling. Initially, I reached out to the clinic with a genuine intention to establish care for this patient with a *different* doctor, besides Dr Howell. However, my attempt was inadvertently blocked right from the beginning by an unexpected and unwarranted redirection by Barbara at the front desk, who transferred me to Crystal without allowing a proper explanation of the patient’s situation to a different team. Crystal’s conduct during our conversation was nothing short of appalling. It is disheartening to report that she exhibited an extraordinary level of unprofessionalism and disrespect. Instead of demonstrating the expected qualities of leadership and patient advocacy, Crystal chose to assert her unqualified medical opinions, prematurely deciding that no provider under her management would consider writing a prescription for the patient, effectively blocking any chance for the patient to receive necessary care. Her approach was not only obstructive but also incredibly demeaning. She blatantly dismissed my concerns, undermining the professional discretion and expertise that should be afforded to all healthcare discussions. Crystal’s behavior was not only unbecoming of her position but alarmingly disrespectful. She terminated the conversation abruptly, displaying a lack of basic decency and respect, which is unacceptable for someone in her role. This incident transcends mere professional dissatisfaction; it is a serious indictment of the current leadership within the clinic. Such behavior casts a shadow over the clinic’s commitment to patient care and respect for medical professionals. This review serves as information to the administrative body responsible for her employment. This review is warranted to address this grave misconduct, as it severely undermines the integrity and patient-centric values that should define your clinic. Conversation that Crystal deleted from 02/22: According to Crystal, the Clinic Manager, the policy requires patients to have a consultation within the last year to refill a prescription. Despite my clarification that the patient had met this criterion, they were still denied a more affordable telemedicine appointment, which would have saved them from costly in-person visits. Additionally, when I recommended submitting photos through their secure portal for review, Crystal disregarded the suggestion entirely. It’s concerning that there’s minimal support for a longstanding patient who needs a prescription slightly more potent than what’s available over the counter, especially considering the patient lacks insurance. Unfortunately, Crystal’s handling of the situation showed a distinct lack of empathy and effort to address real concerns. When directed to the health department as per Crystal’s advice, and discovering a two-week wait, I had hoped she would inform Dr. Howell of the patient’s urgent situation, emphasizing the need for a straightforward prescription. Her inability to pursue alternative solutions or even communicate the patient’s urgent needs to the healthcare provider reflects a deep flaw in patient advocacy. This series of events prompts a serious reconsideration of whether to continue seeking services from this clinic, given the apparent disregard for patient needs and circumstances. The patient’s difficulty in obtaining timely help externally, coupled with Crystal’s lack of action, underlines a significant gap in care and support, leading to doubts about the clinic’s commitment to their patients’ well-being."
"After being frustrated with my dermatologist over a rash that wouldn’t go away after two visits and a month of treatments. I decided to see my doctor Dr.Lloyd May…it took him approximately one minute to diagnose the rash below my neck... He prescribed steroids and within five days my rash was completely cleared. I just wished I had gone to him in the first place. Doctor Lloyd May is totally Awesome ! Many Thanks"
"Dr. Joiner and her staff were very thorough and professional. Kaitlyn, the nurse and Phillip, the student that examined me, we very kind, and thorough with questions and examination. I am very happy that I switched to Dr. Joiner for my primary care physician!!"
