"If I could give them a 0 star, I would. We made an appointment for my now 15 yr old daughter on 2/22 for 7/26 (1st available anywhere). I received a call today on 7/5 that Dr. Martin doesn't accept minors so we were an "oversight and not sure what happened" even though they were given all relevant info including insurance. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional."

"DO NOT go here! It was a good place when Dr. Faber was there but since then it was bought out by a larger corporate establishment that only cares about the bottom line! I was a patient there for over 7 years and 6 of them were great. After Dr Faber left I saw one of the nurse practitioners every 3 months. Every time I had to get my meds I needed a PA and this office took sometimes over a week to do it. I would have to constantly call and ask about it! When dr Faber was there my PAs would be done within a few hours. I assume they’re not getting done because they have such a high turnover rate with their admin staff. Every time I go, there’s a new receptionist and new faces. They also started double billing wanting cash for an appt but wanted to charge insurance for lab work when we were told our cash payment covered the appt. I could go on and on but this place doesn’t care about patients. They just want to write a few Prozac scripts for depressed housewives and some ADD meds for kids. Basically they want only uncomplicated cases and want to ensure they are making a lot of money. Dr Faber cared about helping people. This place does not!! The owner, Dr Chili is all about $. It’s even listed in his profile on the AL Psychiatry website that he’s always looking for more ways to make $$. He’s also very rude and condescending. If you’re really sick and really have a psych issue do not go here or any other Alabama Psychiatry location. . Find a doctor who actually cares and sincerely wants to help patients. Also, I missed 1 appt and made it up 2 weeks later and received a letter saying I was no longer a patient! I have a very serious mental disorder and am on disability. I was a patient at that clinic for over 7 years and missed 1 appt (while I was in a state of psychosis) and was discharged! Not only was I discharged, I wasn’t warned at all. No one discussed anything with me about the possibility of that happening!! I was also in the middle of a psychotic break during that time. I made up the missed appt 2 weeks later and was still in a state of psychosis the day they discharged me. What kind of place discharges an established patient who is in the middle of a psychotic break? I’m not even angry really I’m just baffled that anyone could do that and be okay with themselves. Do they not know what line of work they’re in? And let me say the only other good provider who stayed when dr Faber left has also left. So there’s no reason at all to go there. Anyway It’s just really awful and upsetting. Dr Faber never would have done that. No one with a soul would have done that. That is how this place is now though. What they did was unethical. I actually know the real reason I was discharged is because I am on Medicaid and Medicaid doesn’t pay much. Dr Faber accepted it sometimes to help people who didn’t have a lot of better options.. I was warned by someone who works there about 3 months before they discharged me that they were wanting to get rid of all Medicaid patients so I may want to start looking for another provider. Anyway don’t go there. If you’re looking for a loved one or for yourself. Just don’t do it. There are other places. Any other place is better."

"Judy Clark has been and is amazing. The most important thing to me is that she listens and then prescribes the correct medication and it works. She is positive upbeat and knowledgeable. I plan to stay with her for quite a while."

"I want to personally thank San. She is Kellie Vaughan’s medical assistant. She takes care of everything and the only one I can get to cater to my specific needs. I only leave messages directly with her now since it changed from North Shelby to Alabama Psychiatric of Helena. My same docs were there long before the change and is still there. The only thing is I’m not impressed with who bought them out and management. So I stick with my team. I only call the office to make my appointments or if I have to change an appointment. Thank you San for everything you do for Mrs. Vaughan’s patients."

"North Shelby was bought by Alabama Psychiatry. On my first visit, I met Judy Clark. Everything seemed good, until I called 3 times over the next two weeks and left messages because my prescriptions weren’t sent in. Never got a return call. At the end of 2 weeks I ended up having to go in there, since I was out of medicine, and wait for a prescription to be sent in. You would think that wouldn’t take that long. As of right now, it has been 50 minutes. For some reason the nurse can not get a doctor to sign them. It took 55 minutes to get this task completed. Apparently if you see an assistant (RA?) the Dr is not there to sign the Rx because he works at a different location"
