Reviews of Salvation Army Thrift Store
"I got so many items for just a dollar each while shopping for my baby. I even found a pair of roller skate/shoes there for my big guy. He was so happy. They were on $10 for them."
"As with any thrift store sometimes it's hit or miss, but I did see many excellent bargains. The staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. I'm being very picky right now and the only thing they could do a little better would be to organize their stock and group similar items together. I will definitely go back there as there are many things I need for my new apartment. I recommend this store if you are looking for something in particular, or just looking for a good bargain."
"My experience was sad and then unbelievable. Price was too high, broken and part of the things for sale was missing. To much was priced "as is". Clothes racks jammed full you could not find what you wanted to look for.. To me the store is to help people, families, others on low income as well as the average citizen looking for a item. Some have needs of items and can't afford the full cost of them new. I had never been it such a shameful place. It is a insult to citizens that try to shop there. The store is saying very loud by the contents and display to the customer that have come into the store. Saying that they are not worth any more than what they offer to sell them. This is demeaning and a very bad example of the hard times since the pandemic for families. All I could think of when I was looking around. What a shameful memory that a child would carry through their life time of the trip to shop with family there. They store offered a $29.00 orange over stuffed recliner rocker that had been donated. It came from a home with a dog or cat. Pet hair was all over it, in seams and creases of the chair. Why was it not vacuumed first and a sign was put on the chair that past owner had a pet. With it donated that way does not mean it should be sold as is. Honestly does not cost. Who ever is in charge of this store has a VERY bad image of the Salvation Army. This same organization ask the public of donation and Christmas gifts. As people stand strong to help during time of need.. then we have stores like this one destroying what good will has built from the past. I had no certain need, it's a good thing. However the abrupt relates to pure shame for the stores, to our town and our state. I did not see any purchases made by anyone while I was looking around. What has changed in the responsibility of managment honor and customer service??"
"This Salvation Army store is relatively small and I’ve had better finds at the Downtown Rescue Mission across the street. But this is still a relatively is clean and organized store that I would rather go to than some others. I’ll stop by here to look occasionally and every once in a while have a good find."
"Thanks for letting me know about the price of the boxes of free stuffing recipe"
