Reviews of NorthRiver Primary Care Associates
"I am posting on behalf of my sister who was humiliated and refused education. My sister had some lab work come back irregular and she therefore had questions. Jordan Armstrong, CRNP sat in my sisters face and told her that she would not be answering any of her questions because "we would be here all day". As a provider, a part of your job is patient education, and even if you could not have answered all of her questions you could have at least answered ONE! My sister was told that she needed to FIND ANOTHER PROVIDER if she did not trust her. Sorry, not sorry; but when did patients lose the option of being in charge of their own care?! She was treated like a child, embarrassed and left in tears. Jordan Armstrong, CRNP had no empathy, and terrible bedside manner. When her patient began crying out of frustration, and confusion she turned around and walked out of the room. She waited 45 minutes in the waiting room and paid her co-pay to have only 5 minutes of her "trusted" providers time; and received no help. Do yourself a favor, find a provider that will listen to your concerns and not make you feel dumb for asking question."
"I'd give a lower score if I could. I submitted an application to become a patient over a month ago, called multiple times with no call backs just to send a message and be told the providers will not accept me as a patient without even giving me a reason why. I've waited over 30 days in hopes that I could be seen by doctor that actually cares for me but I can't even get an appointment. This place is a joke."
""We believe that the best healthcare is delivered with widsom, skill and compassion" quoted directly from your Mission Statement. My sister was referred to Scott Kemp by her physician following a heart attack and open-heart surgery. He wanted her to have a PCP for general care. At their first meeting when a mammogram & colonoscopy were the topic of discussion and my sister stated she wasn't interested in having those at this time, Dr. Kemp humiliated my sister by telling her he would not be able to be her doctor, she was wasting his time. As a matter of fact, he would "personally" get her co-payment and return to her. He proceeded to do just that, humiliating her in front of the office staff and lobby of patients as she was given her copay by a staff member for her to leave. Prior to this he suggested she continue her care with the "Cardboard box doctors" she had been seeing before the referral to him (she reported going to after- hours/walk-in clinics for care when she was asked by him). You lack wisdom, skill or compassion when dealing with your patients. At what point do you decide if a person is too obese for your care? Where does it stop? I know you are a PCP and must discuss these issues with your patients, but you can't "force" anyone to do what you say, you can suggest. We still live in America, My body, My Choice. You are not liable when you document the patient refused. The "cardboard box doctors" have the same training as you, but most have a much better bedside manner. I have worked in healthcare for 40 years and this is appalling to think my sister was treated with such disrespect by someone who has taken the oath to "care"."
"I have nothing bad to say about NRPCA. Staff is always friendly and efficient and genuinely care about their patients. I do not feel rushed at appointments and all of my concerns are heard and taken into account. I see Amy Wyatt and Dr. Kemp and I highly recommend them!"
"NorthRiver Primary Care Associates is my choice for my personal physician as well as my entire family. Dr. McEntyre and his staff provide excellent personable health care to the community. Their office is always clean and efficient. I never hesitate to recommend NPCA to others for their primary medicine needs."
