"This review is for the: Regional Medical Center of Central Alabama 29 LV Stabler Dr Greenville, AL 36037 I have sent emails and left voicemails for someone to phone me back about my mom's account (yes, of course, my power of attorney has been provided)...crickets. When I phone the billing department, the staff are rude. Let me be clear, I would never expect HIPPA to be violated, that is the reason I emailed my POA to Wendy Piggott and to Phillip Fout (her supervisor). If my POA is not sufficient, then I also have a Health Care POA, but since no one returns calls or emails what am I supposed to do? I have not personally been to this facility (thankfully), just having to deal with their incompetence via phone/email."
"Had to take my mom for a broken wrist. Everyone was wonderful! Dr. Adam Sproat was awesome and he took great care of my mom. Everything from registration to leaving was excellent. Whole visit was about 2.5 hours. I was beyond impressed."
"If you need a hospital to go to, you might as well go right past this one. None of them know what they're doing. They're just there for a check! They don't know how to do an iv (dummies had to keep poking and my arm is bruised!), the nurse says one thing while the doctor says something different. There was only one person who could do an IV properly and they should have called her at first. They'll tell you nothing is wrong and as soon as you go to another hospital, they find something wrong. Rating:0 You all need to find more qualified people. I'll never go here again."
"Visited here on last night about 10PM. Came in with massive headache, Drenched in a cold sweats, nausea,15 weeks pregnant and diabetic. The ER was empty and they made me wait. Checked my vitals and put me in a room; nurse advise she’d check my blood sugar; an hour went by and nothing! After IV fluid bag was empty then after my friend goes out to check she says (Angela the nurse) oh our GLUCOSE MACHINE is broken in an ER!!!! The dr didn’t order blood work. How do you not on a pregnant woman?? I am still feeling ill and headed to Montgomery ER. This should be against the law that a “hospital” can operate like this! I will be filing a formal complaint with the state."
"One year ago, I was in the er because of a bad kidney infection. I had a fever, nausea, and terrible pain. I could hardly walk. I couldn’t sleep or eat. I was dehydrated. The dr on duty, Williams, treated me as if I were nothing more than a junky. He gave me a long speech about how nothing was really wrong with me and there was nothing that the hospital could do. I should drive the hour to Montgomery. I was sent home with nothing more then an antibiotic shot and was given one pain pill. Twelve hours later, the er staff called me back and told me that I was septic and needed to come back in. The infection was so bad I was admitted that day. I was in the hospital for a week. I had to have a blood transfusion. The staff and service I received while I was admitted was excellent however. All I remember tho is how the er dr treated me. Now if there is an emergency, I’ll try to get to different emergency facility. It’s sad because the only place for an hour."
