"I attempted to get a CT scan, but wanted to know what they charge and my out of pocket expense. Nobody, and I mean NO body has given me an answer. It seems kinda shady to me for a so called Christian based hospital to hide what they charge from patients. But....they all sure did stop at prayer time...and I mean right in the middle of a sentence I was stopped so the lady could stop and pray along with the intercom. That's all fine and good ..but they should be upfront and honest about what they charge. And....NO call back despite repeated calls and messages to their office. We deserve better but only if we demand it. Right now, we are all slaves to big government and big insurance. Both are breaking our banks, our backs, and killing folks!! Update..Update... A lady named Christy finally called back over 4 days later. She called me to complain about my " not so nice" second message I left after the 3 day mark. She sounded very angry and apparently the ONLY reason for her call back was to gripe at me about the message I left. She hung up on me and never seemed for one seco5like she was concerned with my problem. With employees like that representing a business it does not look good for how management handles things Patient Beware, and be sure to read through the comments. I am by far not the only one not pleased with this place."

"A couple years ago I went to Ascension to have a cataract removed by Dr. Carson Bee in conjunction with the Callahan Eye Hospital & Clinics. My short stay/operation went very smoothly and I would recommend Dr. Bee and the hospital. It was very clean and the few staff that I encountered were very friendly and helpful."

"(I'm thinking taking you to court) I was dizzy and short of breath when I was on my way to work. When I got there they took some blood and I waited over 30 minutes with the needle still in my arm. When I needed to piss I couldn't use my right arm with a needle still in my arm. And the best part is they didn't tell me what was wrong with me they just gave me a piece of paper. And here is the GREAT PART. Billing me. The first time when I was in the building I gave them my heath info when I got home and got the bill and it said uninsured so I called them and gave them my heath info again. When I got the bill again they put my old heath insurance in. So I called the the number on the bill again and it took me to this stupid phone call saying "you win $100" and who ever wrote this bill needs to cuss at and needs to be be fired. I went through that stupid phone call about the $100 and I wanted to give them heath insurance so they can correct it, but no. I finally lost it I went up there I about almost lost it. The entire Hospital staff needs to be fired."

"Went to the ER because my husband was having memory loss , he couldn’t remember what we had done that day. I didn’t know if he had a brain bleed or what I was scared to death. We get there at 4:45 and at 8:30 I sit and watched people come in after us go back before us. I went to the desk at least three times and they said there is four ahead of you. The lady across from us they told her there was six ahead of her but she went back before us. I went back to the desk because I was getting concerned about him because he was not talking right and thinking we had been there two times that day. The lady at the desk told me they took them back based on how bad they were , I can understand if it was life or death but I didn’t see where anyone was any worse than what my husband was going through. She wasn’t very concerned about what we were going through. I don’t understand why they didn’t at least do a MRI when we got there so they would know what was going on. So after the acted the way she did I got my husband and left. Was not a good experience."

"I was here about a year ago and got the worst doctor I had ever seen, he was rude, condescending, and absolutely did not care that my baby was sick. He went to the nurse station and was laughing at the symptoms she had. She had a croup cough and wanted me to cough and make the sound she made while coughing. When I told him I couldn’t he told me to google a cough similar to hers and let him listen to it. Today my son was sick and not wanting to go all the way to Birmingham I decided to just come here thinking I could be the same doctor and in the case not all doctors are the same. Well to my surprise it was the same doctor, with the same attitude. If you don’t like people don’t be in the healthcare industry. If you have no sympathy don’t be in health care. I always thought a doctors job was to help people feel better. Someone should check in on him. Also when we were brought to our room it was dirty. The nurse quickly wiped it and left trash on the floor from a previous patient. Do better!"
