Reviews of West Mobile Family Medical Center
"Trying to get my inhalers refilled but they never answer the phone."
"I cant say enough fabulous things about this staff. I almost feel like im family when i visit. I can even say i have had a much better medical care journey with this staff than when I had double insurance. If youve had a bad experience, please give them another chance. They are a staff of caring and beautiful souls. Talk to them and i assure you, they will make it right!"
"They will not call me to let me know about my blood work nor they will half answer there phones when I call...I've called several times just today and the lady answered then hung up on me.."
"I’ve been going to this doctor for a while my first doctor appointment she didn’t do much at all my second one again and so on. I have 4 kids 1 is ADD and ADHD I’m always stressed out and I understand sometimes I make mistakes but I am only human and I’ve tried my best to be a good mom. Every time I go and there office I feel like I have to keep repeating myself and I have a lot on my mind already. I don’t understand why the nurse is writing things down if she’s not sharing it with the doctor and I’m tired of them acting some type a way cause I have Medicaid. They wouldn’t tell me what’s wrong with me for a while and I’ve been told by numerous doctor that I have pre-digesting diabetes while pregnant. I got tested again after my tubes tied came back that I have diabetes and anemia (very anemic). I had to ask them for some Iron medicine cause I’m always weak and I understand my life choices in food doesn’t contain iron and I have heavy periods. I’m tired of them treating me some kind of way. I found out from one of doctors she’s a nurse practitioner. I am happy she did pointed me to the right direction after everything but it took them a while too."
"This practice was highly unprofessional with respect to all aspects of treatment and care. I was seen as a new patient having recently relocated to Mobile from out of state. I suffer from a few health issues including diabetes, pancreatic problems and digestive difficulties and thereby require life sustaining medication. Upon the completion of my exam I was informed that not all of my medications could be prescribed because a specialist was required, despite the fact that my old PCP prescribed them. Nevertheless, I was patient because I was told they would make the referrals that day and call me. They were also going to call in the rest of my prescriptions, such as insulin. Now, over 24 hours later my pharmacy has no prescriptions so I called the office and they told me that the practitioner wants me to come in for lab work and we will discuss medications then. I don’t mind having lab work but that has nothing to do with my regular medications that keep me alive. I am a retired physician so I do know what I am talking about. This is not what I was told and highly unprofessional. I should’ve known something was wrong when the nurses and nurse practitioner did not know what some of my medicine was for. They didn’t even call me to let me know this is what they wanted. They just left me up in the air waiting for prescriptions that we’re not coming. The referrals were never made either. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC FOR TREATMENT!!!!??"
