"I’ve been here abt 7 or 8 times. My first time going was before they hand the tracking device on your hand or foot. But it was scary honestly. I had no clothes and was in scrubs. When my clothes did come they did let me take a shower before bed time (I hadn’t taken a shower is 3 days till that day). I learned on the first day DONT CRY. It will show that “you’re more depressed” and need to stay longer. The only good staff was a day time one. Ms. Dentia. I’m probably spelling it wrong. (She was short with short hair she was also not white). She was a god sent from heaven. The worst thing to happen was my seizures there. I have pseudo seizures (which means fake seizures basically but they look like one) mine are due to stress. And they would say “you’re just faking it. Get up. This isn’t a way for attention” mind you I was diagnosed by a neurosurgeon that actually monitored my brain for 3 days. That’s all I have to say. I wouldn’t send my kids here if it was the only place too go."
"Update: upon discharge I found out that medications I had approved to be administered was actually given doubled the mg my child ended up with seizures because of this. My child said they got to where they couldn’t remember their day at all and was afraid to speak up. Also came home with bruises. My child is currently in here and calls me nightly crying saying he’s scared and the staff are encouraging fights amongst the kids. They do not separate the children with behavioral problems from the ones battling depression. The nurses give scare tactics to get them to do things and told him he would be there months since he has a fear of needles and they were trying to get blood. For what I have no clue. I wish I had read the reviews first. My child was told “something is mentally wrong with you” the last thing a suicidal depression child needs to hear is that! I see why the paperwork says parents aren’t allowed a tour. My child actually WANTED and ASKED to go to a hospital for help. If your child has depression take them elsewhere this place made it worse."
"it’s been almost a year sense i went here do not send your kids here it’s terrible the staff encourage fights the night staff are horrible you can barely sleep because they keep you up yelling and laughing all night you had to stay in one room all day playing cards or coloring and doing nothing else and the group activities were pretty much just coloring that doesn’t help at all and when we got to go out side it was just a very small fenced in area. when i got there one of the staff told me i looked “to happy” to be there and a different staff told me i needed to eat more vegetables bc i was “fat” and i had an ed witch was one of the reasons i was there in the first place this place is horrible and it will cause you more trauma."
"I went to this hospital in 2019 I stayed for a month my first day there they made me walk around in a hospital gown with nothing underneath and a pair of socks with nothing to cover my backside they wouldn’t even let the girls there give me one of their sheets to cover up. My mom brought clothes for me to change into but they wouldn’t give me my clothes that was there way of breaking the girls in showing them who’s in charge The staff are very unprofessional and they treat kids like trash they made us shower with shampoo and wouldn’t give us our medication which cause some girls to act out just so they could put them in restraints and humiliate them infront of everybody and inject them with medication to knock them out and drag them down the hall some of the staff would what until the girls last day being in the facility to write them up and add extra time to there stay they wouldn’t even give us sanitary napkins so we could change them we would only get one after shower and another before breakfast the doctor there wouldn’t let kids go home if he saw them shed a tear for finally being able to go home and get away from the hell hole some of the staff would taunt the girls and when they reacted they would put them in restraint in a padded room one of the night staff didn’t like kids she would put us in our room from the time she got there until the next morning when she left. DO NOT LET YOUR KIDS STAY HERE !!! It would only make there mental state worse then what it was before they got there"
"yeah i went here in late 2022, its terrible. the staff half the time dont check up on you, example. i was having clearly upset, and me being young and scared i started panicking, they didn't do anything.its a horrible place,im scared to get sent back. please, coming from a 14 year old,pay attention to these reviews!!this place isnt going to help you. i got sent there 2 times for self harm and currently,im doing worse im sure. it didnt help me get better,it didnt help me stop self harm,it scared me and traumatized me and i dont self harm anymore from getting told ill get sent back to that hell. although there are a few staff i loved!some are very nice"
