"Low prices, good results. They have awesome back facials, scalp treatments/massages, hair cutting, manicures, etc. I haven't done the front facials yet. Students are watched over by the professionals so there are no mistakes. All staff/students have been nice. My mom and I love it. We go once a week at least."

"I am so pleased with the results stylist Ellie was able to achieve with the specialty perm, and trim. I have long, graying hair and I showed her the picture for what I was hoping. She talked me through the process, asked questions, genuinely listened. The process took a while, as my hair is a little resistant, but she was so patient, and professional. Additomally, she took time to show and tell me how to care for my hair in the 72 hour space between perm and first wash and beyond. So many compliments on the outcome.And the price under $100! My last perm at a high end salon was over $250 and the results were less than marginal. I cannot recommend Ellie and PJ'S enough. I love my hair so much."
"Poor instruction to the students resulting in a dissatisfied customer. I do not recommend the Plainfield location. The equipment is outdated the mirrors were dirty and the student never introduced herself or made eye contact. Not to mention the poor quality hair style. The instructors never checked her work and I wasn’t given a mirror to look at the back of my hair. The student was clearly struggling and at no time did either of the 2 instructors coach or help her to fix the problem."
