"The staff is abusive and will lie to your face. These children are not being protected here. Please don't send your child here."
"In 2016 I came to this place with packed bags bc I was suicidal. They turned me away and I ended up shooting myseld in the chest 6 weeks later. Fast forward 12/23 having major panic attacks and they turn me away again. If you’re having mental health problems do not count on them to help. I’m trying to hold on."
"PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING GOING HERE OR SENDING YOUR CHILD HERE: I was a patient at this facility for about two days. I have to say, those two days were the WORST days of my life. This is how the day usually goes: They wake you up at around 7 AM to make your bed, brush your teeth, and do anything you need to do to get ready for the day. After that you have to go into this room that has about five tables and a small TV (you have to stay in here all day) and they give you breakfast. After breakfast they let you get out your folder and notebook that they provide and you sit in this room and color all day long. Once people start getting bored they let us go outside but it is a constant cycle of going outside and inside. They also feed you lunch and dinner as well as snacks through out the day. You have two chances during the day to make a phone call but you only have five minutes to talk to whoever you want to talk to. While I was there I expected to be able to speak with a doctor, nurse, or a therapist but I was not able to until they finally let me go. The only person I spoke with was someone who was trying to finish some registration stuff and a nurse asked if I had any suicidal thoughts THAT WAS IT. There was no group therapy and no one on one therapy either. The only positives I will give this place is that the staff, for the most part, is really kind and they try to act like they understand what you’re saying and that they are going to help you and they also give you coloring pages so if you like to color I definitely recommend this place. If you’re looking for somewhere that is going to actually help you and not be like an art camp or something I would definitely say try to look into other places if you can. I went into this experience with a positive mind set and hoped to learn some new coping skills if I ever needed it in the future even though I strongly believed I didn’t need to be there. I didn’t learn anything while I was there unfortunately. I also talked to someone that got in there a few days prior to me and they told me that they hadn’t spoke to anyone except a doctor for about 6 minutes, besides that it was NOTHING!! Those few days were the most stressful days of my life and I hope that this could help some of you decide if you want to go here or not."
"Amazing care. Staff are so sweet. They actually care a lot and focus more on treatment. Maybe a few seemed mean at first but they are nice and caring. I would like to thank Ms Jessie Marie for being such a sweet and amazing nurse (if your seeing this know that I miss you)"
