"I placed an on-line appointment. Place was filthy, hair all over floor. Under the chairs, in the corners. One Stylist made an attempt to sweep around their station, just pushing things into the back corners. Counter tops were trash littered, cluttered with things that needed to be put away. Chairs were rough looking, Stylists we're standing around talking loudly like some type of party. 'While cutting hair.' Not a normal conversation between Stylist and customer. Stylist walks through with pumpkins needing to be cut for decorations. Big Hoo Ha, about this while ignoring their customers Stylist didn't sit me down in chair to discuss what I wanted,, didn't comb through hair to possibly make suggestions Shampooing was wet, water splashed all over my face. Water was ice cold, Stylist asked, is it warm enough, no it wasn't! So then went to overly warm. Usually Shampooing is a relaxing experience. Nothing relaxing about this. Barely had towel on head to dry hair. No comforting towel massage or fluffing before coming and cutting hair Stylist station wasn't stocked or clean. They borrowed from others, I'm concerned how clean brushes and styling tools were Stylist fingnails were so long they we're getting caught in my hair, while washing and cutting, they'd yank my hair with their nails, along with the yanking with the brush Stylist kept trying to talk about other things besides my hair. I had to redirect conversation back They barely explained what they were doing. When handing me the small mirror which was shoved at me, they swirled me around with limited time to check the big mirror for results. I also had to tell blow drying was necessary. Very wet hair, windy and cold outside. Which I had said when checking in, I had asked for a haircut, blow-dry and styled. I had to explain what that meant Even then things weren't done properly. Not a proper blow dry, or styling.. Stylist Acted like they wanted me gone So I quickly left, without leaving a tip. Good quality, Good work gets rewarded I've been to Great Clips before, was fairly happy with a cheap haircut Maybe next time a different location in 6 months months or a year Unless things change, never Speedway shopping center again To bad had always thought Speedway shopping center had affordable decent quality"

"I always enjoy coming here. One staff person, who has been there for a while, always remembers to ask about my kiddos and also remembers how I like my hair cut (without looking at the computer). She wasn't who worked with me on this visit (and that person was great as well!) but she still took time to interact with me as I was checking out. In a world of corporate/conglomerate entities that most often value profit over personability it is refreshing to feel welcomed by such a spirit and mindset each time you enter the business.
