"The staff has always been friendly and supportive, but I just can't get past the time after time mishaps of this office. Without wanting to come off as just ranting, the Kokomo office simply has something wrong going on. We've only been local for less than a year, but we've had no less than 5 appointments messed up already. It's a common occurence for something to go wrong for the majority of my family of five's appointments. Things like they didn't have it on the schedule that I was coming in that day, when I've had text AND call confirmation. Another example is mixing up the their schedule so the nitrous oxide was already booked for another patient, but not notifying us or realizing until my daughter had already arrived for her procedure. It took three attempts to schedule before it was carried out as needed, even though we were accurate and timely with every appointment. The last scheduled appointment resulted in a phone call that there was yet another problem while my husband was en route to the appointment with her. They squeezed her in, but it was only at my insistence that it be done that day, as scheduled. There have been several more issues like these. Last week I received two separate phone calls in one day to confirm my husband's appointment. They didn't know it had already been verbally confirmed just a few hours before. This shows something isn't working right on the office end of things, whether it's operator error or software difficulties. Last month the hygienist made a comment about me being in last for a filling in March. I paused and couldn't remember having a filling. We politely went back and forth about it couldn't have been me, but would have been my daughter. She then said that families are all grouped together in the file, so that was the mistake. Okay, no big deal, but I didn't like that the information seemed to be on my chart and not hers. Today, after yet another schedule snafu, the dentist made polite chitchat about my last appointment having been in for my filling in March. Good heavens. If it's not clear whose medical information belongs to whom, I'm concerned. One more preference thing that I don't care for with this office is the open concept. I can hear everything being discussed with any other patient. Beyond it being a privacy issue, I had a difficult appointment last month when I could hear the patient over from me living my worst nightmare- needing to remove all his rotted, mobile teeth and replaced with dentures. While the staff was super friendly and comforting to him, I could hear every syllable of their private, medical conversation. I have dental anxiety issues, so when they returned to help me, I was on the verge of blacking out from overhearing such a terrible, sad situation. I can't complain about the actual care I've received, as I've been satisfied thus far in that respect. It does make nearly every appointment a challenge and frustration when information is consistently incorrect. It makes me concerned with what else may sliding by. There have been a few other things that have been red flags, but I'll stop there. I don't think anything is malicious, but there is clearly something not working right over there. I would caution anyone from choosing this facility as their dental office. At the very least, it's added frustration to my family's dental needs."
