Detailed Dental - Christine Gudas, D.D.S.

"1/2/2024 Unfortunately things changed. Dr. Gudas did a cap my insurance didn’t cover n I had to pay cash (apx $1500). To this day it is very uncomfortable. You sign a form stating no guarantee or refunds, but was assured they’d address any issues. My last visit I reminded them to take a look and hygienist said “ they didn’t tell you this would be your last visit , that they were no longer taking your insurance?”! I never received any notice of this, and Dr. gudas was in and out so fast and no issues with my teeth were addressed nor did I get the x-rays my insurance pays for yearly that could have transferred to my new dentist, so I lost those. I asked for records for myself and my children, and all I received were past X-rays. Said they didn’t have records for the procedure I had where I needed the cap which is just ridiculous. I never saw a doctor that does not have records of procedures completed! The x-rays are all they have provided me to this day. The tooth Has to be redone once I get more cash for it and or else called in the near future. I have never seen such unprofessionalism from a business I put so much trust in, for so many years, with mine and my children’s health. It would not have taken much to notify me of the policy change prior to this wasted visit. I should not have to learn this from a hygienist! Considering this and the failing cap, zero stars would be appropriate. Very disheartening. If you need more than a cleaning, I would look elsewhere. Myself and my 4 kids have been going here since Day 1. I hate and fear the dentist, due to super sensitive teeth. However, I experienced no discomfort! Dr. Gudas and the staff were compassionate, gentle, yet thorough. My kids have beautiful smiles despite many fillings thanks to detailed dental! They never complained of discomfort as well."

"The star is for my hygienist and office staff. Sonia was wonderful and thorough. Brenda is very nice as well. However, I have never had more than 1 cavity whenever I had gone to the dentist, and it has been years since I had a cavity. I'm fairly young. I was told by Dr. Gudas I had 8 cavities, which led me into such a panic and I was so embarrassed. I thought about it after I left the office, and went to get a second opinion the following week with a trusted dentist. He confirmed that I had ONE cavity. Not 8. Such a shame. Always trust your gut and get the second opinion."

They are always going the extra length for others. I highly recommend Detailed Dental to all incoming families to this area and even further if you are looking for a top notch dental family. I had an appointment today and it went exceptionally smooth. There was no wait and my dental hygienist was very thorough. Brenda was very sweet and went out of her way to make sure I was taken care of. All in all I am satisfied every time!"
