"Be wary of overpriced and unneeded recommended services. I went in for an oil change in January and got the usual laundry list of additional recommended services. I was told that some of these services “required immediate attention.” I try to do as much maintenance as I can myself but I still take a look at the list to see what might need to be done. Among the list of services was a quote for about $150 to replace the cabin and engine air filters. I fell for this 1 time in the past with Toyota before finding out that replacing these filter costs no more than $30 and can be done in minutes. I understand that having the mechanic do it costs money but that is just so excessive for something so simple. Another service they “critically” recommended was a four wheel alignment. Just looking at the quote, I knew they wanted way too much to do it, so I called around the area to get other quotes. I found another shop and took my car there, where they proceeded to tell me that my car was not in need of an alignment at all. To add icing to the cake, Schererville Toyota has called me 4 times since the oil change to set up another appointment to take care of the services that “needed immediate attention.” Be wary of their service recommendations and always get another quote because, after my experience, these folks can’t be trusted."

"Very unhappy with Team Toyota service department. I came in for an oil change and was told it was not needed. But then I was told I needed an alignment. I got an alignment done that was not needed after I had a professional mechanic look at it. I was scammed! Watch out because they will do anything to make a quick buck. When checking out she stated “they could have explained it better if I stayed while my car was being serviced.” Definitely won’t return and will take my service to Merrillville."

He was super helpful and made the process very smooth when surprising my wife with adding several accessories to her 22’ RAV4 Hybrid before we came in to pick up the vehicle. "I originally purchased my car at this location and I have been going here regularly for my oil changes ever since I bought my vehicle. One of the things I like about this service department is that you get to deal with the same person. Jeremy Tessman is always there to greet me when I arrive and he always has a great attitude ( great customer service skills). I've been going here for a year a half and never had a problem. Today, I went in for my regular oil change and found out my tires were pretty close to needing to be changed so I decided to get it done today. A new feature they offered me was a complimentary shuttle to my house so I could get things done while I waited. I had no one to give me a ride so this was an amazing offer and I tried it out today. Great experience overall and made the decision to add on the extra service easier when I didn't have to wait there."
