"Good selection, but it stops there. I will drive an extra 20 miles if needed because of the owners and their crazy behavior. They can be friendly one minute then snap and yell at the next customer. The people at marathon/backside beverages across the street are much more friendly, but the selection isnt as good."

"Firstly, let me say that I’ve never had anything but pleasant experiences with Steve Modas. I respect the fact that he wants his son to work and earn his keep. BUT this guy (his son with long hair) would get fired so fast it would make his head spin at ANY other establishment. This whole “good luck with that” attitude is no way to talk to a customer. I was stopped at the door as I was leaving and asked if I needed help finding anything, I told him what I was looking for and that they were a couple dollars higher than Warrens (Marathon down the road, go there if you like professionalism, and being treated with respect). He was very disrespectful. I have shopped there SEVERAL times in the past and have found that I prefer to deal with his dad. I will NOT be going back there until he’s fired. Although that will probably never happen. He is spoiled and unprofessional. I no longer support their cause for being against Sexton, I have a feeling that whatever happened to the punk was by his own doing.."

However, I have been there when someone made the mistake of being rude to Steve, and he is more than capable of telling someone....... “Thank you for Not coming back”. Steve has all my business to supply my Vacation rental homes. Great guy.! Great selection..! Great prices..!"

"My husband just returned from Big Steve’s, and he was treated very rudely. We have just moved full time to the area after his retirement from the Army, and we were looking forward to purchasing all of our alcoholic beverages at one place due to summer being on its way. After mentioning to the manager that the beer was two dollars cheaper across the street for a half case, my husband was asked indirectly to leave the store and purchase his beer elsewhere. Paying an extra $2 is not a big deal bc we always try to shop locally, but the behavior he encountered was completely unnecessary. This store has missed out on a tremendous amount of business."
