"There’s no insulation. You can hear everything above and outside in the hallway. The hotel smells strongly of cleaner. The breakfast is just waffles and pastries. The rooms are nice. Good luck with the sleeping portion."
"Might wanna skip this place. I can honestly say I have never left a bad review for any hotel I have ever stayed in before but I had to say something about this one. My 2 adult sons and I travel a great deal for work and stay in hotels on average 3 nights a week all across the Southeast. This particular LaQuinta is the absolute worst one I have ever had the displeasure to stay in. At check in the young lady was very rude when I asked about my reservation, she seemed upset that I interrupted her watching TV in the breakfast area. On my reservation I had requested a room with either a fold out couch or a roll away bed, when I asked about it, she rudely said "no couches, roll away only go in king bed room". I informed her that we are a group of 3, myself and my 2 adult sons and would like to stay in the same room but have separate beds. She very rudely said "No, only 2 beds per room, you have to get another room for third bed". Once we got to the room, they most definately did not live up to LaQuintas normal standard. The beds are hard as a rock, I have slept on the ground more comfortably, the pillows are the absolute cheapest junk they can get and hard as a rock. I had to fold up part of my comforter to use as a pillow they were so hard, the bathroom had mold in the corners of the bathtub and the toilet rocked like it was about to fall over. I have stayed in $30 a night roach motels that were cleaner and more comfortable. Avoid this place as best you can, the owners are cheap and it shows and most definately not worth the price they charge."
"This place looks great on the surface. Nice tile throughout the hotel. The gym on the outside looks great but 2 of the machines controls do not work and the sanitizer was out in the room. The beds were comfortable if you like firm mattresses. The refrigerator makes a noise from the compressor. The hotel has a smell I can’t place. The TV speaker is blown out so the sound from it was bad. The area looks safe. Lots of lighting at night with some fast-food near by Breakfast was mid. Waffles were the highlight. Better than most continental breakfast bars I have stayed with. I would stay on the upper floors. The ground floor was loud as people checked out. The tile really makes noise from the hallway echo."
"Will probably never stay at another La Quinta Inn after this two-day stay in Prattville/Millbrook, Alabama. The service was OK. However, the entire hotel smelled like Pine Sol cleaner (overwhelming and extremely strong) on every floor. The room smelled 'musty' - like a dirty air filter - smell got worse each day. The heater/AC would never turn off and didn't regulate the room temperature - just blew musty air. Some electrical components were missing from the room (lamps, lightbulbs, etc.). LaQuinta allows dogs that bark in adjoining rooms. And early morning custodians and tenants were extremely loud in the halls at 5:00 am. In general it was uncomfortable and a miserable stay."
"We checked in to La Quinta because we’ve always loved this chain but this location is truly lacking. There was so much humidity in the room that the sheets felt wet. The website says “100% Smoke free” but the hallway and our room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. The bathroom sink, faucet, shower and shower head and floors (in corners) were not clean. I talked to the front desk the next morning and was assured the room would be cleaned thoroughly but when we arrived back that evening our room had been skipped completely. After talking to front desk again, the room was cleaned but not well. We will never stay at another LaQuinta."
