"Okay, okay, let me explain. When you first come into your room, you're not warned or told anything by the check-in desk about the functions of this place. We spent two days and nights hot as heck. We told the front desk they didn't do anything. So, on our third and last night's stay, we finally found the plug insert for the unplugged ac unit. It wasn't plugged in! We didn't know until the 3rd day that it was under the unit until we looked at the ones in the hallways. That's what gave us a hint where to plug it in at. I was going to leave a bad detailed review until we finally had figured everything out on our own because the front desk was told everything but they have done absolutely nothing to help so we had to figure things out on our own. So the ac unit is controlled on the wall by the door you enter and exit from. But it won't work if it isn't plugged in, which sits under the unit. The shower is understandable and simple. The water gets hot beyond fast from what I've experienced from other places that heats slowly. So be quick to shower, but it is a good thing. It also lasts a very long time too for people who need to shave. Be careful, though. The floor in the shower is slippery. I had to put a towel down to shower in. They do have dove soaps in bottles in the showers and the sinks, but they are protected, so you can't take them down or open the tops. There are plenty of towels, so no worry of lack of towels. The beds are hard, like sleeping on the floor but with a pillow beneath you. There aren't many parking spots at all. This place does allow pets, but we didn't bring ours with us. The carpets are very dirty shampoo wise, so don't leave anything on the floor you won't put your face on. The trash cans are small, so try not to save food or eat too much in here. Other than the beginning problems, this place isn't too bad to stay when you figure things out. They don't do refunds for any reason that you make up, so don't ask. No hotel gives refunds. From my experiences. You book your pay period. Because that money goes towards preparing your stay here so you basically paid them already to do what they need to do for your stay here. So don't expect something back if you have already booked a room."
"This hotel charges a large $75 per pet per night yet has no area with grass or dog park to walk your pet. You will easily have to walk 2-3 blocks away to find grass and there are no streetlights in those areas which is unsafe. The doggie bag station is dangerously behind the dumpster where there is broken glass and small pieces of trash that dogs will try to eat. This hotel allows pets but is not pet friendly & the wording should be changed. Do not come to this location if you have dogs. This is located off the busiest hwy in Alabama so having a safe space for dogs is vital esp after such a large pet fee. They do not offer any type of breakfast & the microwave in my room did not work. End table was dirty from previous guests. Staff was friendly and professional."
"I booked a stay at this hotel because Priceline had it showing it was 3.5 star hotel. The beds were to firm. I didn’t sleep well. It was supposed to have a pull out couch to sleep 5 people. It did not sleep 5. We asked to another room but they were booked. Other than the room looked clean. They had a nice lobby. We won’t be staying here again."
"DIRTY!!!! I went to pull out the couch and it had not been cleaned. There was a sock, some beer tops, a bracelet, huge crumbs and the bed didn't even pull out. After this, I inspected the beds. When I pulled the comforter back, there were some black looking bugs ALL over the bed (I was told by a pest control expert that they weren't bed bugs) I called the front desk and he came in there and was very snarky and said those aren't bed bugs. I told him I didn't care what they were, I wanted a new room. He gave me a new room but immediately turned off the key while I was moving into the new room. Other than the lady that checked us in, this was a horrible experience. I know you get what you pay for but this was not a pleasant stay. Will not ever stay again"
"Staff was nice and accommodating after I had an issue with my room. The housekeeping staff needs to be disciplined. The bed in my room was not made. (Always check the bed) It was full of hair like an animal shedded its coat. No mattress cover just a bare thin sheet over a bare mattress. Housekeeping just decided not to change the bed it appears…The front desk however was nice and got me another room which was very good, comfortable and properly made. If not for this experience I’d give it 4 stars, it’s WELL worth the $70 a night I paid..if you get a good rate go for it. If not, there are better options nearby ."
