"Great experience. Went for lunch. Both the wife and I had wraps for lunch. She had turkey and bacon and I had ham and cheese. They come with chips. Both were loaded with meats and cheese. And the hospitality shown by Mary our bartender and Ms. Holly our bar manager makes the American Legion Post #5 a great place to spend your free time."
"This is a review of just the public restaurant portion. It's probably the best food in Mount Vernon. Always fresh from the kitchen, well prepared and very reasonably priced. Texas Tenderloin and Ribeye sandwich are always great."
"We have been there several times to enjoy the newly available Sunday breakfast/brunch. They have a menu that would rival Denny's. The food and service are very good and unless they are crowded the kitchen is quick. If you are a member or a guest of a member you can enjoy a awesome Bloody Mary with your brunch."
"Friday night special liver and onions start serving 5:30 got there 6:30. No liver and onions settled for endless salad bar,chili and loaded potato boats. Got 6 inch plate of salad started to get another she starts dismantling the salad/chili bar. No one said anything I asked waitress please charge me for side salad. She did. I will not go back after 5:30 but there are chores for me to do after a 10 hour workday. Best to eat at home."
"A great place for a delicious plate lunch, relax after work, or eat their yummy fish fillet's at their monthly all you can eat fish fry! The servers and cooks work very hard to provide interesting menu items and great service. I'm very proud of our local American Legion and staff!!!"
