"I just stayed one night at this DUMP…... Redoing first floor and was awoken at 5am by hammers! DIRTY room and VERY unfriendly female employee at front desk. I had a service animal and she still charged $75 because she said my dog barked while walking out of the lobby!!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN. DO NOT STAY HERE. SO SAD. Also looking out the window was dumpsters full of trash and we saw a RAT!!!! HAMPTON INN you know better!!!!!!!"
"Room was great! However, when checking in, female desk clerk was not very friendly at all. When checking out, male desk clerk was worse. I had a question about taxes on my pet fee, and before I could even ask, he said "your incidental fee will be credited back to your credit card." Not even what I was going to ask. And he couldn't explain the pet fee taxes, so he called his supervisor, told her he had a quest "complaining", which I was not complaining, I was nicely inquiring. Nasty personalities, we won't stay at this location again."
"So far so good. Staff was friendly at check in and the evening desk clerk was nice when I went down for a soda later. They've got the 4th floor closed for remodeling, so the parking lot is smaller due to construction materials and such, but even with a pickup and trailer I was able to get in the lot. The contractor was even extremely helpful letting me back my trailer into their blocked off zone so I could be out of the way. Yes, you will notice the construction activities, but I'd say give them a break, they're investing in the hotel, and I haven't noticed any impact to my stay thus far. Not sure if the remodel is starting from the top down or not, but I'm on the third floor and wasn't disturbed by any construction noise or anything during the afternoon after check in. The room is definitely better than the average hotel room in my opinion. Seems clean, nice amount of space, and I'm always a sucker for a walk-in shower. Don't know if it has been refreshed or not, but either way, it's not bad. The little "store" in the lobby is well stocked with snacks and drinks. Always nice to have restaurants within walking distance when traveling with a truck and trailer. Cracker Barrel just up the road and a Mexican place closer than that. Good location off the interstate, but even being on the end of the building nearest the highway, I'm not hearing much road noise which is nice. I would happily stay here again."
"Where to begin… well the kitchen staff lady was amazing and the best face for the hotel she was always there and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay nice thanks you .She should get a raise and run the place and as for the rest well it was the longest week in my life. They booked out one of our rooms and said my young daughters can sleep down the hall from us and that we can split up to sleep like hello no we paid for a joining room for a reason 3 months ahead of time so the first night we only had one room. We had no rest they have a lot of workers remodeling at 4am 6:35 am right above your room till 9pm no emails or warnings about remodels so you can reschedule for a different hotel so no rest found a cockroach in pool house was told to not worry about it and throwaway. It’s from construction probably. Rooms are old and used up and just dirty if you walked barefoot in your room with white socks, on, they would no longer be white floor carpets where nasty and sticky a lot of people coming and getting the old furniture from remodel at all hours. A bunch of. Drug like activity there lots of rude employees and the younger guy that worked the night desk with glasses what a creep my wife could not go out with out me cause he would chase her down and try to talk to her only when she was alone out side and made her feel very unsafe and uncomfortable. I would never stay there again and what a wast of money like I was happy to leave there now only need to check to make sure no roaches come home with me. Should be a 1 Star hotel or maybe be called a motel super 8. And let’s not forte shady I-haul trucks loading stuff up late at night and all the random non-guest staying in the hotel and the majority of the employees that work the front desk, or just rude, disrespectful, and seem like they hate their job"
"The lady that checked us in was rude. We even tried to make polite conversation with her and she completely ignored us. She just handed us our room card with no information or instructions for our Wi-Fi password or even anything about our stay or room number. I’ve never been treated that way at what should be a nice upscale hotel. About the room….there was a leak in the bathroom, bed was uncomfortable and the sheets were too small for the king size bed and kept coming off. Plus you may want to stay on the top floor because you can hear every time someone moves above you. I think someone was training for a marathon above us!! Overall I will never stay here again when traveling through Alabama. For the price we payed I feel like we were ripped off!!"
