"Martin & bayley corporate does not even deserve one star for their customer service. My husband bought fuel on Friday before MLK holiday (2023) and the money came DIRECTLY out of our account. Hucks ALSO took out $125.00 and has had a hold on it since said Friday. We have bought fuel and other products here for years. I have called the gas station in question and of course got no where with the manager so I went to corporate. The receptionist met me at the door and I could tell she already knew why I was there because she was a bit nervous. Totally understandable when you're getting ready to lie to someone's face! And lie she did. I was told it was my bank that put the hold on it after I had already gone in person to my bank and made several phone calls to them. It was NOT my bank that put the hold on the money as I saw on the bank managers computer screen. I will never go to Hucks in any state or any city again and I will be letting everyone I know and talk to what you did and then lied to me about it. Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy but apparently Hucks corporate believes otherwise. The LEAST you could have done to help me and put my mind at ease was be honest. I will make sure I have you on the top of the list of DO NOT PATRONIZE this business for several of the halls."

"I/we have NEVER had a bad experience at any of the many Hucks stores we have visited. Hucks is one of the best if not the best convenience stores in the country. It seems there is always someone looking for something to complain about in this day and age. And I forgot to mention the food and pizza is fantastic. Hold your head up high Hucks. You're doing a great job!"

"I worked for hucks during the pandemic and I was never paid extra. I didn't have my vehicle so I was paying a cab to and from work. I worked the 10 pm shift to 6 am shift when I started and the manager was pregnant and wouldn't show up until 7 or 8 am and I never got paid for the hours I worked over. I got switched to the 2 pm to 11 pm shift and I would clock out at 11 but not leave until almost 1 or 2 am because I was cleaning the store because the manager wanted the store perfect. I was fired into front of a store full of people then the manager laughed at me as I walked out the door. Then when I didn't get my last 2 checks I called everyday for 2 weeks and finally got them. Never work for hucks in Herrin a cross from Hardee's."

"The worst company to work for by far. They lie about your starting wages and if your pay gets messed up don't be in a hurry to get it fixed. My wife worked there for 4 months and was never paid the correct hourly pay. When it was brought to their attention all she ever heard is we are working on getting it fixed. She hasn't worked there for over a month now and still hasn't received any back pay for the months she did work there. Save yourself the time and headache and find a better company to work for that actually cares about their employee's."
