"Mysore masala dosa was amazing. Texturally, the dosa was not greasy, light yet stayed crispy even during my last bites. In terms of taste, it was deliciously garlicky and had a nice kick. Their sambar and tomato chutney were excellent, definitely amongst the best in the city. Sambar came out pipping hot, which was a big plus on a cold day. Coconut chutney, however, wasn't good and tasted like hair. Masala was slightly undersalted. Service was extremely attentive and I was pleased to find out that you can request more sambar and chutneys with no extra cost!"
"The food here is so yummy! The waiter was very friendly/polite and helped me order since I was unfamiliar with the menu style. Very happy with this visit and would love to come back here for more Indian food!"
"Excellent Dosas and Gobi Manchurian! The staff are kind and very helpful. The atmosphere is a bit funky and a bit too heavy on the blue lighting for my taste. Some of the street food options are very salty. Overall a great experience and I will definitely be back for more Dosas."
"We had best quality food with great customer service. We ordered Chana Bhatura and pav bhaji. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will come again for sure. Ambience is also very nice."
"The restaurant is located in Westmont in a shopping center with other stores including a Indian groceries store and as such finding a parking space is not easy. The restaurant is small with some space set aside for bigger parties and the number of tables are limited. There's a wait to be seated and we reached there at peak time and waited a good 10 minutes. The waiters and the manager are preoccupied and we had to draw attention to an empty table to get seated. The menu is newly printed and has a lot of choices in different cuisine of India for those familiar with it. South Indian cuisine is limited to dosa varieties and other rice based dishes. The masala soda is good for those who like the traditional "jal jeera". There's no soda in the drink itself but a variety of Indian spices that aid in digestion and general health. The onion rava masala dosa looked good when it arrived with holes that I mentioned in my review of A2B's same item but soon turned into a nightmare. The chef must have forgotten about the dosa as it was desiccated/dehydrated beyond imagination to the extent the masala has become dry and the onion had caramelized. I was joking with my family that the dosa was hard and crisp enough to chop up vegetables. I could not even eat half of it. The sambar is good and a decent quantity but of the chutneys, only the tomato chutney is very good, the coconut one is ok but the third one of fried lentils is insipid, though the quantity is once again like the "tabbaruk" or prasad you get in your places of worship. At $12 it's certainly not worth it. A couple of ready-made Gits rava dosa mixes for half the price, from the next door Indian store would have been a better experience for my taste buds. Anyway the family enjoyed their items and it seems like my experience was the only sour one. Perhaps the illinois culinary world does not want to satiate my penchant for a taste of real onion rava dosa."
