"Visited 3/18/23 Wahlburgers in Carmel Indiana offers an inviting atmosphere with a prominent display of the Wahlburg green color scheme. The restaurant is well-maintained and the staff is friendly, ensuring a prompt seating experience. You never know what you're going to see while waiting for your food at any restaurant. During our visit, we witnessed several cars backing into a parked car in front of the restaurant then leaving, as well as a woman momentarily leaving the hair salon next door to get something from her car, which still had her completely covered with foil. We were able to capture videos of these incidents. It was certainly an unexpected and funny experience. However, the food did not meet expectations. The kids' meal cheeseburger with tater tots was average, while the grilled chicken with grilled onions and side of kale and Brussels sprout slaw was flavorful, but the chicken itself was only average. The macaroni and cheese was a disappointment as the penne pasta lacked any taste, and the cheeseburger failed to impress. Additionally, customers should be aware that the kids' meal comes with an adult upcharge of four dollars, and it is not mentioned on the menu, not did the server mention it. She knew we ordered off the kids menu. The restaurant refunded the charge and claimed it was a new policy. Overall, the experience earned only a two-star rating, and the we do not plan to return."
