"I didn't have a very good experience here today. Making a return of an online purchase in-store was a major hassle. It took almost 30 minutes! Apparently, they have some new policy limiting the dollar amount of returns per store.... And I ended up with a merchandise credit that she told me HAD to be used in THAT store only. Thankfully, I tried it online and it appears I'll be able to use it as a gift card to order online. Why give out incorrect information?? Why such a difficult return process?? The store associate was just trying to do her job, but it was very frustrating for me as the customer."

"TERRIBLE! I don’t post reviews often; it takes an outstanding experience to impel me to do so - almost always to praise great service somewhere. But this review is about a remarkably horrible experience. I’m a regular shopper at Maurice’s and I get generally good service there. I went there Thursday 8/11 to get something to wear to a funeral. My Mom’s funeral. The person working was wearing shredded cut off jean shorts. I thought she was a customer at first. She did not greet me. She did not ask if I needed any help finding something. I found a few things to try on and she put me in a messy dressing room with clothes all over the place. There was maybe one other customer in the store, nobody else in any of the dressing rooms. I asked about all the stuff in there and she said she’d get it later. I had a coupon for $40 off of $100 purchase. I asked for her help to figure out where I was in meeting the $100 mark with the items I had selected. I told her my Mom just died and I was feeling pretty overwhelmed, please help me figure this coupon thing out. She offered no condolences. I handed her the coupon. She became irritated that my coupon didn’t have a bar code on it, and scolded me for tearing it. A fellow shopper overheard and showed her same coupon, no barcode. She spoke in a sharp tone throughout and made it clear that I was causing her lots of work. She had to call someone about the coupon, another inconvenience. I had to go get ready for my mom’s funeral (My Mom’s Funeral!) so I ended up just buying whatever was in the pile of stuff. I had to go. She never said thank you, sorry for the inconvenience. Nothing. I grabbed my bag and walked out. I’m not sure I’ll go back there. Terrible."

"I love Maurice's in general but the ladies in the Huntington, IN store were exceptional. Being a plus sized woman it's often depressing to clothes shop. Trying to find just the right fit to hide my flaws can be time consuming. Thankfully, Rachelle (spelling?) made my shopping experience much less stressful with her helpful suggestions. In no time she had helped pick out several coordinating outfits. Rachel helped me through the credit card application process to earn additional discounts. The third lady, didn't catch her name, was kind and kept me occupied with conversation while I waited in line on a busy Black Friday. Overall great experience! I will be back."
