"Delivery clearly isn't a concern. I have ordered 3x first time great! 2nd wrong meat, 3rd n last wrong meat and shells I call to get it correct was put on hold then it disconnected.."
"El Toribio is Ok. Since Owensboro has gotten so many Mexican restaurants now, this is probably the one I go to least. The sasla is just crushed tomatoes with garlic powder. If you like your salsa bland, this is the place for you. I got to say the taco salad never disappoints. At least they season their chicken, "unlike Papa Grande." I love El Toribios Chili Relleno, but they only give you a tiny piece of the relleno pepper. At least the other mexican restaurants give you the full pepper."
"This place is by far the worst. Me and my husband went there on a Sunday. I got the enchiladas and he got a burrito. The hamburger meat on the burrito and the pork on my enchiladas were microwaved. We heard them put it in there, the plates were hotter than outlr food, and when the waitress came by and asked we told her that it wasnt good, mind you we still had all our food on the plate, she still charged us almost 50 dollars. Then she has to give us change from her purse cause there was no money in the drawer..."
"I had the Speedy Gonzales and it was great. Chips and salsa were good. I am not sure about the food my lunch mates ordered, but they ate it, so it reached that level for sure."
"I dare say that the rice was days old and my plate was microwaved. It's really the only way I can explain how dried out the refried beans were, because it looked and tasted like it had been under a heat lamp for hours.(see photo. Worth a zoom in). The rice was literally crunchy. The tamale was soggy and tasteless. I got flack from the lady when I asked for fresher beans and rice, but she did give me some(2nd photo. Compare the two). She explained that she hated wasting food, but the fact that she served me it to me in the first place was a huge red flag. I threw away my to go box because I was worried about food poisoning and my stomach started hurting about an hour later. Even if the food had been fresh the portion of pork was dry and pretty small for carnitas. I look forward to her trying to explain herself under this review, but it's not defendable. AVOID."
