"Just stopped in late with a friend for a salad. So I didn't really get to try their real food, lol. HOWEVER, I THOROUGHLY enjoyed the salad, the service, and the atmosphere. Now, I will look forward to stopping back in on my next visit for the actual meat and potatoes!"
"My dad grew up in Morganfield. He loved Peaks bbq mutton and introduced it to us 50 years ago. I hadn’t had it in about 20 years until i picked up 6 pounds for my family on my way back to central ky. It tastes exactly the way I remembered it. Very unique. Delicious. My brothers agreed. Too bad Waverly is over 3 hours away for me"
"Always been one of my favorite places even before the old one burned down. I live about 70 miles away. I don't make up there alot but at least once or twice a year. I always get the chipped mutton sandwich with a side. and take home a couple pounds of mutton for later. Their ribs are good and pork also! Great place to go for good food!!"
"Well, bless my soul, y'all wouldn't believe the mutton and sweet tea down at this joint! I declare, it's like a taste of heaven right here in the heart of the South. That mutton, honey, it's so tender and flavorful, it practically melts in your mouth. And the sweet tea, well, it's like Grandma's secret recipe - sweet as a Georgia peach in summertime. You walk in there, and you're greeted with that warm Southern hospitality that just makes you feel right at home. The mutton, it's been slow-cooked to perfection, seasoned with all them good ol' spices, and served up with a side of cornbread that's as golden as a Southern sunset. The folks there, they know how to do barbecue right. And let's not forget about that sweet tea, darlin'. It's just the right balance of sweetness and that good ol' Southern charm. Sippin' on that tea while enjoyin' the mutton, well, it's like a taste of the South in every sip. So if you're hankerin' for some down-home Southern cookin', you best mosey on down to that place and get yourself some of that heavenly mutton and sweet tea. It's a taste of Dixie that'll have you sayin' "Y'all come back now, ya hear?""
"Baby, your food is coming out soon - thank you sugar! The food was as good as the waitress was with me. Tasty! And a good local hang out every night. One regret - not trying the mutton."
