Mr Jalapeño

"Service wasn’t great. Waitress rushed us to order. Queso came out cold so we decided to stay anyway and try the food. The food came out cold!! Bathroom had a terrible smell and it looked like someone had peed on the floor. I hate to think about what the kitchen possibly looks like. The entire building could use some maintenance."

"We've been fans of Guadalajara in Grayville since it opened! Needless to say, we were so excited when Mr. Jalapeño opened three minutes from our house! They are owned and operated by the same people. Before Mr. Jalapeño opened in Carmi, we were regulars at Guadalajara. Now, we eat quite regularly at Mr. Jalapeño. The food is always good, always fresh, and the portions are sizeable. No complaints there. I've been on a shredded chicken nacho kick lately. Lately, we have noticed that the staff - wait staff in particular - hasn't been too friendly or welcoming. When we request something, the server acts like we're interrupting them. There are two servers who have been almost rude to us. Luckily, we go for the food. We can tolerate the service."

"I had the best Chicken Fajita Quesadilla ever . I will definitely be back. Service was excellent. The only negative I can say is that I did not get the lemon in my sweet tea that I requested."

"The "mixed" drink was straight juice. The drink menu was very dirty and there seems to be only one that the restraunt shares. The wait staff was unattentive and acted as if having a customer was an inconvenience. The place was empty sans one other table . It was very dirty as well . There were soiled aprons strewn about across the bar seating area as well."

"Went with my family while visiting my daughter that lives in Carmi. My daughter, son in law and grandson all love Mr. Jalapeño!!! We went last year before the remodel. The remodel looks great and modern. While there was a lot of us in our party, we were quickly seated and waited on. We received our food in a timely manner. The food was delicious!!!"
