JCPenney 800 North Green River Road, Evansville, IN 47715

"This review is for a store associate at the Evansville store. My wife and I had an encounter with an associate named Tom during the holidays. Not only did he coerce me into opening a credit card (which I had initially thought was just a reward member card, NOT a credit card) after several attempts to pressure us to open this card, but he then refused to complete my purchase or ring up my items, and rather, had another associate ring up my purchase as he stated, it wasn't his job, he just opens credit. This was very unprofessional. I expect if you are going to lie to me and run my credit, the least you can do is check me out as well as other stores do, but he seemed too busy for that and just wanted to move on to the next customer. His aggressive sales tactics and lack of customer service are completely unacceptable. Oh, he also said I was going to get 35% off my entire purchase, and even if I didn't get approved, he was going to get me a 20% off coupon online just for trying to open the card that I could use on my current purchase, this information was wrong. Upon speaking to the associate at the register, she informed me that all coupons do not work on clearance items. This upset me as I was ALSO misled. I strongly advise others to beware of such practices at this store. They don't care about their customers, but rather, how they can lie to their customers and get away with it. I'll take my business elsewhere from now on."

"I went to JCPenney salon and had a perm by Jane B , and it turned out fabulous!!! I absolutely love it! It took about several hours and during that that time we talked about everything under the sun, she was so easy to talk to!!! Will be coming back and will be recommending❤️❤️"

"There is a nice jewelry department. But, only had two people working on a Saturday afternoon. Everything is not priced. Had to wait in line for someone to wait on us, just to get a price check. Asked for boxes for the two necklaces I bought. Said they don't give those out anymore??? She told me to go to Wal-Mart, they have nice boxes and are a reasonable price. This has always been a good feature that JC Penny's has done when you buy from the store. The clerk put the two necklaces in a bag. When I got home, they were both tangled up with each other. It took several minutes to get them apart. Don't know if I will go back ."
