"Tim was able to work us in on short notice and did a great job! Definitely recommend."
"Dropped off my daughters car over 6 weeks ago to have A/C compressor and condenser changed had a check engine light saying one of the glow plugs was bad. I asked Tim if he could change the glow plugs while he had it he said sure no problem. I asked him to order parts and call when he was ready for it about a week later he called said the parts were in he forgot to call I said no problem we can drop it off tonight. Fast forward a week and I called to check he got busy and hadn’t touched it yet but he said he would get it this week and I should have it back by Friday. Friday comes and goes with no word so the next week he lets me know that after installing the A/C while waiting for the unit to charge with Freon he quickly tried to change the glow plugs and they were all very difficult to get out and one broke off in the head. He told me not to worry that he could get it out this went on for 4 more weeks then he finally told me sorry it took so long he was trying to save me money but now the head needs pulled and I owe him at least another $1000 to fix the plug he broke off in the head. I don’t see how it’s my fault he carelessly broke one of the Glow Plugs especially since he didn’t use a torque wrench or pretreat the plugs with penetrating oil as I found recommended online. I am also puzzled why he didn’t call me and warn me that they were seized and could break coming out. So he still has my car and it now has a broken glow plug stuck in the head. I have done business with Tim before and trusted him fully, after this experience I would not recommend him for any auto repair work! Update: Picked up my daughters car and took it to a real mechanic, when I showed up Tim refused to take a check from me cash only, which is funny because he never had an issue with that before. I was concerned that I would not know if the A/C worked or not because after he broke the glow plug he screwed it up drilling it out and we couldn't start it to confirm operation. Tim guaranteed me it was good and wrote on the ticket he would guarantee it. He handed me two tickets one had all the particulars of the bill and the other was a hand written statement that once the car left his shop it wasn't his problem. I refused to sign that one, after looking over the bill I signed it and handed it back to him. This shop is low tech with carbon copy receipts. When I handed it back to him he laid it on his ledger book and started making entries I stood there watching him and it was taking a while so I leaned it to look at what he was doing..... he was writing additional items on the ticket. When I called him on it he denied I said I just watched write on that ticket after I signed it. When he handed me my copy he had wrote on the ticket no Freon in the A/C..... so I ended up paying the full price of the A/C work only to have to pay another mechanic to charge the A/C and fix the broken the head that ran me another $2,000. To make matters worse the car has power windows and although the battery was only a few months old it was completely dead absolutely no juice. Had to load the car on a trailer by pushing the tires to steer it. When I got home I put a battery charger on it the headlights all the interior lights and the radio had been left on. Tim denied it but obviously he was mad and tried to ruin my new battery out of spite because I wasn't willing to pay him to fix the items he broke through his negligence. I would not trust Tim to change a bicycle tire at this point the mans a liar and a cheat..... beware!!!!!!!!!"
"Over 3 years ago my husband and I had Tim come pick up my 1997 Montero to have the motor fixed. The water pump had gone out and shredded the timing belt and apparently bent a couple of the valves. Tim said he could fix it pretty quick and it would be back on the road in no time. Three weeks later my husband called him to check on the progress to see when my car would be done. Tim said he had decided not to touch it because he didn't know how much work there was going to be and "he didn't know what all was wrong with it." So my husband was kind and asked him to bring the car back if he wasn't going to fix it and we would find someone else to fix it. He gave us some lame excuse as to why he couldn't bring it back. A month goes by and my husband calls him again gets another lame excuse why he couldn't bring it back. This went on for over a year and he finally quit returning our calls. We have someone who goes by and checks to see if the car is still in the same place all the time. We are going to be taking him to court even if it means driving over 6 hours to deal with it. I used to think he was good but now I say don't take a car to him for even a tire rotation"
"He is the worst truck went in for a transmission 5 months later still sits in his garage and he wants 3800 right now he is nuts... will take to court"
"Tim is an excellent mechanic he has worked on my cars and trucks for over 30 years"
