"I've done business with them for years and was generally happy with their customer service until about 8 months ago. I placed an order for delivery, and when I received it, the order was wrong. I called Pipers and explained what happened and the employee I talked to said she would speak to the delivery driver and since it was close to closing time she asked me to call back after 4pm the next day to speak to the delivery driver about my order. The next day, I called and talked to him and explained what I had received compared to what I had ordered. He asked me if I was calling him a liar and told me in a rude tone he had packaged the order himself and hadn't gotten it wrong. When I explained yet again I had ordered a Stromboli, not bread sticks, he became even more hateful and said "Well you're calling me a liar, and this conversation is over." Then he hung up on me and wouldn't answer the phone when I attempted to call back with the intention of speaking to a manager. I posted what happened on Facebook and received several messages from other former customers who had even more stories about their bad experiences with this business. Ranging from a burnt pizza delivered that couldn't be eaten to a pizza with no sauce (I mean seriously making a pizza with no sauce. Are you kidding me?), to someone paying to have an order delivered, never receiving it, and getting the same person I did with exactly the same results. Most of their Yelp reviews aren't favorable. My advice would be if you get anything delivered or pick anything up through their drive threw check it thoroughly before you exit the parking lot because if you get it home and call to make them aware of their mistake you will get the same response most of us have. I will never order or eat at this establishment ever again, and that's sad because this place used to be one of my favorite local businesses to frequent. Update: To the response from Pipers Pizza claiming this story is an attempt to discredit them, it is true that delivery service had been stopped back in 2019 as you stated however it started back up during the 2020 pandemic as a service to help people out and that is what led me to writing this review. I'm simply stating my experience as a whole and the reason I shall not return. Hopefully, by now, with this having happened well over 3 years ago, things have changed, and service has improved. May I offer some parting advice: Instead of the response you chose to give perhaps you could have simply stated we are sorry for the bad experience you previously had with our establishment and have taken steps to improve our service and as such would like to invite you to return and give us a chance to prove to you things have changed. Not the response of this story isn't true and is an attempt to ruin a 40+ year business. You've been in business for that length of time in a small town, and one bad review shouldn't unsettle you to a point where your response is literally doing the same thing that started this whole incident in the first place."
"The pizza we ordered was not bad, but could have cooked a little longer. The breadsticks were cold and the wings we ordered were supposed to be the bbq sauce, but they had no sauce at all."
"We have been coming to Pipers as a family since the 90s. Best pizza in Gibson County if you ask me! Always generous with toppings and cooked just right. We order ahead so it's ready when we arrive."
"Nice friendly atmosphere. The pizza there is wonderful. They have the best crust there. I really enjoyed my visit. I would recommend this place to everyone traveling in this area."
"The young lady was very sweet that took my order and the pizza and nacho was very tasty"
