"Met the owner yesterday at a trade show. He gave us coupons for free empanadas. I love empanadas. I'm a Mexican American from Texas but these are the best empanadas I've ever had. They stamped the flavor on the shell. I got the pineapple cheesy bacon and the Mexican chorizo. Both were amazing. I will email him and get some shipped to Texas cause I have to eat these again."
"Come for delicious empanadas. They have a wide variety of stuffing, with each one made to order with savory, flaky crust. Butternut squash, chorizo, spinach, chicken, all incredible! Something for every palette, you can get a meal and sample three, with a side of homemade chips and a couple of churros. It is a drive-through or pickup, not a sit-down service. For picky eaters, they offer American fare like burgers. Strong recommendation to give Che Chori a try!"
"What a great place! Sketchy neighborhood, but the food was delicious. I ordered the birria, butternut squash and guava empanadas as a combo. The birria was savory and comforting, the squash was nutty and cheesy and the guava tasted like the best possible version of a toaster pastry. The churros were not an afterthought and would be great as a solo order with coffee. The chips were good, clearly homemade, but they didn't stand up to the bold flavors of everything else. I would highly recommend a visit, but maybe use the drive thru. The waiting room, although fascinating to study, was hot and stuffy and the picnic tables were unshaded. This was a great find and I'm looking forward to bringing friends here."
