"Zero stars It truly smells awful in there and the food smells the same way I couldn’t even eat the egusi stew. The taste was egusi but it was missing something n stinky( not like different foreign smell but actually stink) it was inedible compared to other African restaurants within the city that don’t have a rotten smell isn’t over priced and verrrrryyy good, I should’ve walked away smh check out EKO or another place not this one"
"The food was very good! Portion sizes were good. All drinks were bottled. The music was really pretty loud and the restrooms were horrific. However the food made it worth it haha"
"My review is based off the grilled fish and fried plantsins, and gost meat I bought. Omg. How can you get fried plantains so wrong. The stew was excessively spicy. I love spicy food, but it feels the spice took over the stew and could not taste it. I am not sure the type of fish it was but it was very small for the price. I ordered a side of goat meat, well it looks like they use the same sauce for the fish for the goat meat and you cant tell the difference between the two. I got nothing but goat skin and bones with no actual meat. To top it off, I ordered orange fanta and they sent sprite. The quality of the food is abysmal."
"Pros:- - The food was fantastic! I had Amala with Abula with assorted meat. Amala is either made from yam flour or plantain flour. Abula is made with Ewudu, Gbegiri, red stew. Ewedu is Jute leaves blended with water. Gbegiri is peeled beans blended with waters Red stew is made with tomatoes, peppers and spices. It’s not something I eat often. I last had this at a wedding in August 2022. - My husband also enjoyed his food. - They have a few different activities for kids and adults. They have a couple of TVs, a pool table, and a ping pong table. Cons:- - The bathroom was disgustingly dirty. From the door to the walls to the floor and sink. - There are limited seating spots and it looked a little run down with some unstable tables, run down couches, poor paint job, etc - The service can be very slow perhaps this shows what foods are popular. My husband and I went with a group of friends and some had Jollof rice, Amala with Abula, Iyan with Efo-riro, Rice and beans, and many more. The Jollof came out first after about 10 minutes of placing the order. The Amala with Abula came about 20 minutes after the order was placed. Based on this, I would say that the food pricing is a little high for the ambiance… Even though the food was basically excellent to me! I hope they invest a little in the look of the restaurant, which I think will attract more customers for them! It’s worth it! Also, good table service. Honestly, the concept of this restaurant is doable and can make the restaurant very successful!"
