"I had the pleasure of renting the party boat with some girls for my bachelorette weekend and just WOW. We had an absolute awesome time with the driver Joe. He made the trip so much better. He was nice, laid back, fun, and handled us like champs. If we had anyone else, I truly don't think we would of had as much of a good time. Any question we asked him about the area he had an answer to. TOP notch employee! We will definitely be back, thanks Joe!"
"First, the good news. We rented a pontoon boat. The boat was in good shape and ran well. No surprises when we picked it up or returned it. Now, the suggestions. Several of the pontoon boats lacked adequate dock lines. Our boat had two very short lines (about 5 feet). That's not long enough for emergency towing or tricky docking situations. At least two of the rental boats had only one line, such that users only connected the boat at 1 end. The users had walked away from the boats and the boats went sideways in their slips, creating a bad situation for other boaters who had to push the pontoons out of the way to get their boats into the shared slips. The lack of adequate lines was a topic of conversation among 3 groups who were at the dock. Several life jackets on our boat were missing the strap to hold them on. They were the cheapest, least adequate life jackets I've every seen in many years of boating. Had we been interviewed by law enforcement, several would have been disallowed because of the shape they were in. Saving money on cheap life jackets is never a good idea. The gas gauge on our boat was nonfunctional (reading EMPTY). With an internal tank that you can't lift up to determine its status, we were constantly worried the tank might be empty. Finally, even though numerous boats were all returning at the 4.30 deadline, no marina staff were present on the dock to help less experienced boaters get into the narrow slips (which had poorly attached boats sideways in the slip). Given the highly concentrated return event, the marina should have staff on hand to help boats deal with the return process. So management has some important items to work on. The only thing saving this from a two star rating is the fact that the boats are in otherwise good condition."
"Made a purchase in the Board Shop. Very friendly staff, answered all of my questions, made suggestions for a better fit, very satisfied with my purchase. I was on the water the same day in my new life vest."
"Rented a pontoon boat from them, middle of the week and prices were very good, it was a great day of fishing, thank you Culver Marina, plus a great bar area with good food, the smash burger was the best!!"
"One-stop shopping for all of my boating needs. Easily the most varied and complete marine and summer boating related goods store in the area. Huge selection of skis, boards, ropes, etc, as well as a massive variety of clothing that is ideal for the warmer months. After some research i have found that their prices are more reasonable than first thought. All the essentials to make a summer on the lake full of smiles."
